He'll be good cover for us given we have a number of suspensions kicking in now. I think Flish is only one booking away from suspension too. Interesting that we've only got this lad for a month. From what I have seen of him he is very quick and can play on either flank. I do wonder if he does well if we'll get an option to sign, after all we do have a gap now that Judas Healey jumped.

Do remember that Rochdale's best player and main goal scorer is out for 12 games so that may explain why they were a little bit out of shape as this is their first game without him. Don't take anything away from our lads they can only play the team infrontnof them and they did, and matched them www.youtube.com/watch?v=QP1iqwDnx_MAnd this is why he got a 12 game ban, shocking!!

Just walked in a feel like we've bloody lost. We deserved the win but we look so leggy in the last 15 minutes, Flish and Loz ran their hearts out as did many others but in reality we gave away 2 silly free kicks and let Rochdale off the hook. Sweeney struggled to get into the game, apart from giving away one of the late free kicks. Enver-Marum should've put the game out of sight but shot woefully wide when he should've at least hit the target. Yes, the ref was poor and we could've had a second penalty for handball but we should've killed the game off and we didn't. Millsy gave his all but he had been warned so many times before he got his 5th yellow so yes another ban. Frustrated to say the least but sorry to say we only have ourselves to blame, I didn't count many actual clear cut shots on target for either team. We go again though, dudt ourselves down and push on. Fans superb again today.

What a tw@t. Regardless of whether you thought he was any good, whether he was needed, whether he was committed etc. it's a shameful way to treat the man that stood by him while he decided what he was going to do. Jay gave him the time off and kept a place for him and this is how he repays him. Alongside that I am sure his team mates were tagged along as well. Yes, we know that he has a job which affords him the luxury of using football as a mere passtime but to treat people the way he has is shocking. I hope you fall on your ar$e Healy.

Posted this in the attendance thread by mistake
I came up after training at the Gallagher till 7, made it for 8 o'clock. Fella on the turnstile said "I'll just charge you and ya boy a tenner, especially as you're already 2 nil down, hahahaha", cheshire cat grin an' all. While very grateful for getting a few quid off I must say I was a little disappointed he wasn't there for me to wave to on the way out.

I'm at The Gallagher till 7 training one of the youth teams. Gonna aim for 8 o'clock but agree the M25 could be the issue.

Seems unlikely that Flish will play Still suffering from that collision with Murphy at the end of the Billericay match A collision with Flish and Flish came off worse? That Murphy fella is made of strong stuff.

The obligatory shot of main stand fans leaving early. I have to ask (purely because I can't be arsed to go back over previous highlights), but are these the same people every time? Maybe they have a need to be on the telly and feel that this is their only way to reach the heady heights of youtube.

Make the most of this game, enjoy it for what it is, 'the magic of the cup' and if and when we go through to the next round we can all get back to what we do on here best and moan about the ticket allocation. Ebbsfleet seems so long ago.............

The 'new' pitch does have rubber crumb but you are right, the crumb doesn't splash up as much as previously. My team train on it and it is much more stable than the old one. There is a distinct reduction in the amount of crumb in this pitch and we are finding less 'burns' when sliding on it. Much more appealing than our current home pitch at Oakwood which continually has broken Smirnoff Ice bottles all over it ;-( Very discerning vandals - only Smirnoff Ice? In the days when I took my lad to Sunday morning football every freezing, windy, wet weekend of the winter, it wasn't broken glass that was the problem, it was dog shit. While most sane people were still tucked up warmly in bed, myself and several other poor benighted dads would be pacing out a football pitch on some windblown, arctic expanse somewhere in deepest Kent, trowel and bucket in hand, scraping up dog shit. Ooh look, a lovely flat piece of grass with lines on it and goal posts at either end - can't be used for anything, let's let our dogs run all over it and crap where they like... My lad was a decent right back, who showed some promise, but I was quite glad when he lost interest in football. The youth of today have far too much money clearly, whatever happened to Diamond White or Olde English Cider? I agree with the comment on dog shit too, yeah lets take our dog on that nice mown (or should that say mowed?), my apologies to the more discerning reader, surface for it to crap on and not clear it up. Joking aside, what idiots choose to break glass on what are clearly childrens football pitches?

Does our new pitch have the rubber crumb? - you don't see it 'splash' up when the ball bounces on it, or during a sliding tackle for example, as was very obvious with the old surface The 'new' pitch does have rubber crumb but you are right, the crumb doesn't splash up as much as previously. Hopefully Jim White doesn't do the draw again, he comes across a right patronizing t**t. I agree Raymondo. How he got that gig I will never know. So many good presenters and he gets it. Awful.

We have got to be happy with that. There were many teams we wanted to avoid and in my opinion this is a game we should win and give us a bit of a confidence boost we need.
