Are we going as far as not buying a programme either? It's another way of hitting them in the pound note but appreciate that people collect them.

looks like it, as we have our own end and in bold capitals on their website USE OF THE CLUB BAR IS FOR HOME SUPPORTERS ONLY. www.borehamwoodfootballclub.co.uk/visiting-supporters/For the record I hope the day is a good one and full of the usual positive spirit we encounter in other places. Their facilities get good write ups etc so should be a nice visit. Don't want this to seem like a hate campaign against anything other than their broadcast policy.

A few others from our clan mentioned it on Twitter. Suspect it may offer a message from other clubs too though as they seem to be the only ones that charge. Chester where particularly unhappy with their approach mobile.chesterfc.com/news/article/2016-17/statement-blues-live-and-boreham-wood-3257866

Evening all. For those not on social media there's been some interesting developments for the Boreham Wood Game. In essence, they charge anyone that wants to stream or commentate at their home games meaning that both Stones Live and Stones TV have had to ask for the good will of supporters to foot the bill. The good news is that the amounts needed have been raised so well done all who donated/sponsored. This leaves a sore spot though, in that there argument is clubs charge for streaming services and so why shouldn't they get a slice. They had a ding dong with Chester's streaming service and released the details below (so this isn't a joke) www.borehamwoodfootballclub.co.uk/wood-stand-by-the-decision/ It has been highlighted that we do not charge for ours and that both are run by volunteers, but neither made a difference and its cost £130 in total to allow each to cover the game. The quote 'we understand the value of a pound note' leaves a sour taste for many and so I've decided to stick my head above the parrapet, nick somone else's suggestion and propose that our supporters hit them straight in their pound note. I'm not suggesting people don't show up, it's our club that would miss out if we did that. Instead please fill up with beer, food, tea and bovril etc before you enter the ground and boycott the refreshments on the day. We should get a decent number coming and so the hit taken on food and beverages, both of which will have a good financial return, should send a message from us and most of the rest of non league football (well Chester). This is a bit keyboard warrior but I genuinely feel a stand should be taken and one game without a half time beer is clinically proven to prevent a number of infectious diseases*. I'll get back off my box now and go back to bed. (*Nothing has been clinically proven until proven clinically)

Not only humourous and witty but factually enlightening. Didn't know the border ran through the club. Yeah I got a bit worried that the wee man might catch Welsh. To be fair, at five months, he talks fluently already.

To be fair didn't a few people ask to get more appropriate sizing for the replicas? Im a pie fan so wasn't surprised to get the xl but the large was a lot smaller than expected.

If he was at Cambridge Bobby will know of him and assume introductions made from there so makes sense.

Stones live commentators summed up well. We put up a fight and didn't disgrace ourselves. Shame we couldnt hold on but nothing to worry about. It's reasonably clear though that tiredness took hold tonight. Going to be interesting to see how they cope on Saturday because it's a long journey and they will have only one extra day to recuperate.
No easy games in this league.

I've watched the bt coverage now and think still believe we could have nabbed it. York didn't seem to turn up in the first half. Marking for the goal was sloppy and so could have been avoided. One thing I will say though was that the pitch didn't give the best advertisement for 3G. The slowing of the ball at times was very noticeable. I know it needs to bed in but as a first game on to it wasn't a great show.

It's a real shame he's had to go just because of a transport issue. Had allot to offer.
