Let’s be clear, the managers aren’t going anywhere and largely because the owners have got what they wanted. Don’t get me wrong it’s not how they wanted it but they had been muting a consolidation season before we had even kicked off. They wanted a cup run and to loose in the play offs. While if things carry on as they are they won’t get either of the good aspects of the plan, they will get the consolidation.
A club of our size with the crowds we get must be expecting to reach play offs minimum and so for me this season has not been progress. That said we had a lot of ground to make up so I just hope more has gotten better behind the scenes than the results would suggest.

As much as the deliberations about whether we should have had a pen will continue for many weeks to come, can we just consider that with the opportunity we did get (I.e. the free kick) we basically walked it into their oncoming defender. Cannot excuse that, it’s just wasteful pen or not.

Afternoon all. Jay is going to be on BBC Radio Kent tonight from 9pm. Think it’s his first interview since leaving and so it should be interesting.

"No insults against those with opposing views to Jay will change the reality of where we are with the disparity in the quality of the surfaces and if 3G pitches are to be allowed there needs to be a minimum approved specification with no shortcuts to save costs.” Erm there is one of those football-technology.fifa.com/en/media-tiles/about-football-turf/

Heads up, train might not be as easy as it would appear. Athletics on at the London stadium. Not aware of any issues but lots of people about.

With full time(ish) training, the lads should perform better and look sharper. That leads to more attention from further afield and at the moment we are not in the same 'big club' position to hold off suitors so we will loose players. That's fine providing the release clauses are appropriate and we are creating contracts that benefit us in the long term. That would be interesting to know.
All the stuff about getting the right people in and not just those who want money suggests we are still not a team that's appealing to the right type of player and that may be because we are still not paying enough to cut it. We've lost out one a number of targets this and last season due to finance.
Let's not kid ourselves, we are still a team that people will leave if something better comes along. This is something better for a young lad who wants to play in the league and has put in performances to deserved it so good luck to him.

Well now i know this is being read by Mr Hunter I can say directly to him that you are the sole reason that you're club is struggling. Struggling to find a fan base, struggling to make ends meet and struggling to get your message out to come and see a decent squad of good footballers at a pleasant ground with a top class pitch. You seem to think that everyone is against your club and that you have not done anything wrong therefore it's everyone else's fault and the other people are being mean.
Our viciousness is not directed at anyone apart from you, you self victimising idiot. Your fans are loyal, talkative and largley pleasant. Your staff are accommodating and helpful. Your security guards are welcoming and approachable. So why can't you get anyone through the gate. Well maybe it's because you charge too much, you have a terrible relationship with the local press and the press in general because they are charged even higher than those standing even though they could help raise your profile and you charge for any kind of information about your club via your stupid website meaning there is no online presence for people to find out what is going on. You and your ridiculous understanding of the value of a pound note in a league run and led by volunteers and people passionate about their communities are the sole reason your loyal fans cannot be bothered to attend anymore. Look in the mirror at your actions and then see why people think you and the way you run the club are causing so many to stay away. The club isn't tinpot without a tin man at the helm and you are the biggest tin man in this league.

with late notice and on a school night I'll be very surprised if any of their lot show up. They didn't bother at home so they won't travel. Because the gate gets split I'm half tempted to say to everyone to stay away so they won't get any money. We won't either though so the more that attend the better it will be for the 12th man. It's an extra fixture to help the coffers for the new stand too and we win it's 5k for it also. The more of us that attend to help with the atmosphere the better.

regardless of how long he's here (which won't be past January because the travel is just too much for him), what a great person to have involved with the club. I wonder if we would be able to accommodate/help any of the talent from his academy.
