Stirring the tea leaves this morning and an imprint of the team Jay Saunder's will select for York City was clear to see Jay admits to having a problem deciding on his choice for a first X1, so there's a chance of a couple of changes between now and then But it is looking like: Worgan Mills Lokko Coyle Driver Taylor Sweeney Rogers Murphy Greenhalgh Dumaka
Keeper and full backs nailed on. At centre back, Coyle to be selected for first competitive match, perhaps with Lokko getting the nod over Acheampong But expect AA to force his way into the team as a regular soon enough Midfield looks pretty stable with Sweeney and Rogers - Paxman and Healy pushing hard Perhaps a surprise up front, with Taylor, Greenhalgh and Murphy looking sharper than Flisher and Vas at present DD sure to be the team's first choice out and out striker

I'm sure that York city will complain if we went with that team......

I think Flish will play as a lone striker with Ben in behind. Its quite difficult to predict wingers as we have about 5 people all fighting for that position, however they'll all come in handy throughout the season. I would think Murphy on the right with Bobby-Joe/Vas on the left, Bobby-Joe would be my choice, think Vas only has a left foot, could find this season difficult as a result. But that trialist Marinos (the Cyprus international) looks very good, thought he was the best player on the pitch VS Ashford.
There will be plenty of competition for midfield too, Evans looks decent, you'd imagine Pax will play. Greenhalgh too. I'm hoping we see the best from Sweeney. Obviously Rodgo is still around and i think he has plenty to offer. Healy will be back in a few months.
Lokko is nailed on, he looks a good defender and a threat from corners, crazy to think he's only just 20. Wouldn't be suprised to see Ache play alongside him, everyone said Coyle would play more of a coaching role last season but he ended up playing the majority of games, so I could be wrong. As for the full-backs and keeper, they are obvious.

I thought there was a noticeable difference up front when DD came on yesterday. More pace & strength. Based on what I've seen so far I would go with the following starting XI against York...
Worgan Driver Acheampong Lokko Mills Karagiannis Sweeney Paxman Taylor Dumaka Greenhalgh
For the away game at Aldershot I would switch to 4-3-3...
Worgan Driver Acheampong Lokko Mills Rogers Sweeney Paxman Karagiannis Dumaka Taylor
Difficult decision to leave Flischer on the bench because of his long throws & heading ability but I think that it gives a couple of players the opportunity to show if they are good enough at this level. Not sure about Murphy on yesterday's display & Evans looked overweight. Vas needs to be less greedy/predictable & get more crosses in but I'm sure he'll be told to do so; DD certainly told him to during yesterday's game.

I may well be on my own here but I don't rate De De extremely highly, decent player but how many are we really expecting from his this coming season? And I'm not convinced Jay May will reach double figures, he'll be an impact player for sure, however he'll probably give a foul away every time the ball gets near him. Despite Al's lack of fitness, he's still pretty quick, he still has that effective long throw (which will come in handy next season, I'm sure) and he is still our biggest goal threat. We really should have signed a striker by now, i'm pretty convinced we will be short of goals next season. However we will have to wait and see. I would definitely be playing Murphy instead of Vas, he's looked decent over the last 4 games.

No worries , we will be fine !. Of course we won't be expecting to win so many games as the previous seasons but we can easily finish mid table !. Jay Saunders and his coaching staff will be ok. Let's support the team and the club by being there and not be pessimistic !. It will be a great season, new teams and good away trips !. C'mon you Stones.

Judging by performances and fitness shown in friendlies, some of last season's favourites seem likely to end up on the bench.
My best guess for named substitutes v York City
Coyle, Paxman, Vas, Flish, May

I have a feeling Flish may start behind DD Jay does like a like a little surprise The other 10 are nailed on but the No 10 is between Flish Ben and Pax We'll see!
