Maybe it's unrealistic but I wonder if we can throw together an attractive contract for him until the end of the season. That way he and the club could have some stability and if he were to leave we could demand a small transfer fee. If not then he's still putting himself in the shop window all season, and at his age a full season at one club with consistent performances would do wonders for his development. You'd hope that Jay and Nicky are putting those ideas in his head. He's clearly going to be snapped up and go onto bigger things so I hope he has a contract with sell on incentives etc.

You should try coming down to the JWW instead and actually watching the game... He's a plastic supporter Aren't we all plastic supporters #playon3g

Great place for him to go to. Much better than Margate even without their financial woes.

I agree that a lot of faith has been put in last years players who now appear that they are missing something for this level. However, we know why that happened and it's the finance. Terry said at the supporters day that players want to come to us because they get to play in front of a big crowd. Well that's true Ryman and south league but in the prem it's no pull. It's standard to get decent crowds so it's then down to the money and we don't have it thanks to the new stand.
The judgement calls on those that were retained seem contrary to jays normally ruthless approach. DD never really consistently performed and so why there was such a fight to keep him was a bit strange. Vas never really got a chance this year but seemed to get written off without any game time. I confess I'm still a vas fan and would like to see him get a chance but clearly that's not going to happen. Jay May for all his critics, could score when we needed him to but wasn't ever really going to do it against the more professional defenders in this league.
Anyone that's looking for a club now, hasn't cut it where they were so we are in a sticky situation. Yemi is a case in point. Experienced yes but passed it. Some of those coming from youth teams higher up could do something for us but even that's not really working yet with RHJ and Mavilla both moving on after a short space of time.
What we do need to remember is that we did start the season well. This is a run of form that's always going to come at some point and we must remember that there was no way we were going to be competing with the bigger teams in this league. They train full time and will get the right tactics to close us down once they see how we operate. We are at the level we will finish in, but we have to beat the teams around us. Of all the results that we've had the only one that shocked me was Solihull as on paper that was a winnable game. I think we just need to get used to where we are this year get behind the lads so they can keep us up and hope next year will be a more competitive one.

I didn't expect us to win today but started to feel we might get something during the first half. Then we let in a crap goal, heads go down long balls start in the second half. Loose all sense of passing play from the first half. The second goes in and all the imagination goes out the window. The subs made some impact and the last 15 mins wasnt bad but just too late to bring anything back. Tom mills motm
We have played strong teams these last few league games. I think we've founded our league position maybe a little higher but we must beat the teams below us to rack up the points we need to stay up.

Not surprised by Alex going. Disappointed but not surprised. If nothing else he always looked hungry for the ball. He said hilmself that he didn't score enough and couldn't understand why people liked him so much, but people like to see players hunt out the ball and Alex always did that.
RHJ I'm not surprised about either. Not made an impact in any game he's played and not really seen him take the shirt for his own. Suspected we where a stop gap.

No matter what the noise from any part of the Gallagher, we can all live safe in the knowledge that it will always be louder than Boreham Wood.

Looks like everyone do there bit today. Didn't see hardly anyone partaking in the refreshments although that might also be because they weren't selling beer anyway. Still well done all a small point well and truly made.

FYI there is a mcdonalds drive thru nearby if people need a burger and aren't getting the train. There rules say no bottles but would be surprised if they argued over water. Just stay in the shade if need be as its gunna be a warm one. Trust us to plan a refreshment boycott on one of the hottest days of the year.

Yeah really gutted about this. Jay isn't afraid to make decisions that are best for the club and player though so there has to be something in it. If I was to be at all critical, he seemed to get bullied off the ball very easily in his two sub appearances and at the later part of last year. Still very talented though and does have soemthing to offer. Tom seems fit at the moment but his track record does suggest he might pick something up at some point so I hope Vas stays on and fights.

Money where my loud mouth is here, just stuck £10 in the pot for Chester. I know others will spend there money else where on the day but if you don't need a pre match beer, it's a good cause.

Hahaha what a brilliant idea. Stick the pie and beer money in there so wood know exactly how much they've lost out on.
