Well he didn't last long did he (Hall-Johnson I mean ) I think we all knew Akrofi would never make it back but thanks for the few goals he did get us. I like the way he always gave 100% and chased everything. Best of luck Alex .

No surprise with Akrofi, RHJ I thought was okay. Is he releasing funds for others to come in??

Blimey - I think I only saw RHJ once!
Good luck to Akrofi. Like many others I suspect, I really wanted him to make it at Maidstone. Unfortunate for him that we kept getting promoted!
But he did at least get two promotion medals in the same season - there can't be many who've managed that...

He should do alright at Hastings, Ryman South/North is his true level.

Alex was an ok player, ran his heart out but had very little to offer other than his pace, I wish him well in his future but he was never going to be a force in the national league. It makes sense for Jay to release the players he feels have nothing to offer the club anymore which in turn should free up some funds to bring in another player.

He should do alright at Hastings, Ryman South/North is his true level. Yes I agree, I'm not certain what Jay saw in him that made him think he would kick on and become better because his ball control in particular was dreadful and certainly not up to National League level. He didn't ever look like he had the natural ability to solve that problem, in my view. I'm sure he will do a job at Hastings.

Not surprised by Alex going. Disappointed but not surprised. If nothing else he always looked hungry for the ball. He said hilmself that he didn't score enough and couldn't understand why people liked him so much, but people like to see players hunt out the ball and Alex always did that.
RHJ I'm not surprised about either. Not made an impact in any game he's played and not really seen him take the shirt for his own. Suspected we where a stop gap.

I'm sorry to see Akrofi go - I could see a player there and think he'll do well elsewhere
I imagine RHJ wanted a move nearer home

That's almost semi retirement going all the way down to Tinpot Angels level in just a few months.

Seems he was released due to the problems of travelling from his home in Dagenham. Not really sure that Tonbridge is a much better option unless they have somebody else from that area he can get a lift from.

Looks like the Hastings fans aren't exactly sad about it. From their forum:
RE: Alex Akrofi Any truth in the rumour that Alex has signed for Tonbridge Angels? Good luck to them if true as he has been hopeless for us and not sure a step up is the right thing for him. I also hope that if true, and with our squad down to the bare bones, that the club would not have released him without having someone else on board or coming very soon so lets hopefully look forward to some good news very soon.
