Yep, solid performance today throughout the team. Took the initiative from the start and kept the foot on the pedal. Blair took his chances well enough Deserved win. Tbh, Enfield def are not World beaters but hey let's be happy with 3 points.

Looked much more of a threat. To be honest, Enfield were poor. They remind me of Dover last season. Can only win against who you meet.
Shaq looked like he can contribute.

Only downside was the kids behind the goal with the constant ‘Ash out ‘chant! Do they not realise without him they’d probably be no club to support!

So, four hours later and only 6 posts. We get pages of them when we lose. What does that say about us as a group of supporters.

Journey back to Herne Bay, sort dinner and fall out with kids. Anyway. Good stuff stones. We achieve more when we play on the deck. Nice to see forwards get on the scoresheet and we'll done Aaron on a hat trick. I thought the young lad at the back played. His name...well Sam Smith. He had it chanted by his fan club...lol

Anyone know what the attendance was? The PA said 9 hundred and something, but I didn't catch the last two numbers and the OS report doesn't give a figure.

My first away game this season. We could have done without that group of youngsters behind the goal. Language disappointing and support poor. Embarrassing. Other than that a good day out. Stones comfortably the better side, decent passing game and looked determined to bag a win. 3 points gained and a more confident performance. George has got something to work with now. Onwards to the FA cup. Bring it on !

After losing 1-5 at home Tuesday this result was a miracle turnaround with everything we have lacked including a hat trick from our star striker. Whatever George and Craig did between Tuesday and today let’s have more! Maybe Chelmsford are a whole class above Enfield or maybe just maybe we may have found our mojo. Let’s hope so. My half empty glass side thinks we will crash and burn again next game and my half full side sees us storming into playoffs with Blair as the leagues top scorer! Time will tell.

I think Tuesday was a bad day at the office defensively, coupled with a mad last 10 minutes which put an unrealistic slant on the score. There were early signs that we were starting to gel up front which seems to have come to fruition today. Other than Tuesday we’ve been pretty sound at the back. I’m not reading too much into today’s result any more than I did on Tuesday, and even if Enfield were not up to Chelmsford’s standard, you can only play what’s in front of you. If we accept that Tuesday was a blip defensively, and if we can keep up today’s improvement up front, maybe we can get on a decent run and get back to where most of us expect to be.

So, four hours later and only 6 posts. We get pages of them when we lose. What does that say about us as a group of supporters. What it says is that, although we enjoyed the win, we don't quite know what to make of things. We looked good today, kept the ball on the ground, passed intelligently, worked hard, heads didn't drop when they scored. The forwards worked well with each other, especially Blair and Bentley - a pairing I've long thought should work well and didn't understand why it didn't. The defence was pretty solid - impressively so at times, and I was happy with all the players' efforts (with the possible exception of Andre - I still have doubts about him, and would like to see Holden given a chance - perhaps next Saturday?). This was George's squad working as we hoped/expected they would. But, and I'm not being pessimistic - it's a realistic 'but' - it was only Enfield. And, it saddens me to say, as I remember the old Enfield back in the day, but they were dire - their league position doesn't lie. Chelmsford were a much better side. Hopefully, this is a sign that things are coming together now, and we can continue where we left off today, but only time will tell. Personally, I think this is a genuine improvement, we played so much better today - the indication of better things to come that we saw on Tuesday, before the wheels came off, was born out by today's performance. The test will come on Saturday - I was very pessimistic when we got a NS side in the draw, expecting this year's cup 'run' to end before it began, but now I think we'll carry on improving from today's performance and there's a very good chance we'll be in the draw for the next round. But, with Worthing, Torquay, Slough and Aveley all coming up next month, and Chesham picking up after their poor start, we've got a way to go before this particular swallow makes a summer. But I certainly feel a lot better about the season after today's performance - we were a team worth watching today, a team to be proud of once again.

I tend to stand away from the behind-the-goal supporters, so I don't know what went on, but I've heard there was an argument between our own supporters (about personal opinions?) which got aggressive/silly. Not impressive, if true. Has the Facebook lot started meeting in real life?!
