Respect is earned over time and George lost a lot with his pathetic outburst last month. So he's got to get on with it and produce plenty of decent performances against lesser teams in this division.

He didn’t lose my respect.
He gained some by apologising.

George has got nothing to prove in my book after last season. Yes he made an error in his criticism of supporters like grovegreenie, but he has a lot to put up with.

I have a massive amount of respect for George.
On and off the pitch he is a great ambassador for the club.
He went out of his way the other day at the Gallagher to spend some time chatting and getting photographed with my young niece and nephew who can both stretch yer patience.
Top man imo.

George’s biggest lesson has been about the fickleness of fans after the greatest season in recent history.
I don’t normally bother with applauding after the final whistle. But the last couple of games I’ve made a point to do so before and after the match.
There’s not much I can do to influence results, but if clapping after a loss lets them know I despise the minority of Genco lunkheads, it might just give them heart when they’re low.
On one occasion George acknowledged me personally, so maybe it helps at some level.

Yet all the players love the genco, they celebrate more with the genco, players join the club to play infront of the genco.

When we are losing, or just not performing, the bunch behind the goal, are not supporters. How can you be supporting the team with the chants they sing?! Ironically they sung "how shit must you be, we're winning at home", against Chelmsford. That went well didn't it. Support or stay away, the so called "banter" chants aren't funny or helpful.
