As enjoyable as it is to be able to follow match progress on Stones Live…am I alone in experiencing the commentary dropping out multiple times, especially in the 2nd half today?
If it is just me, what can I do to improve the experience…I’m generally not on the move and have a decent 4G signal whilst connected via Tunein radio on a newish iPhone…has happened every match so far this season ?

Anyone know what the attendance was? The PA said 9 hundred and something, but I didn't catch the last two numbers and the OS report doesn't give a figure. 984, according to Stones TV. youtu.be/ATc_7zTg-fc?feature=sharedYou can tell Enfield are new to this level from their lack of social media presence and information.

My first away game this season. We could have done without that group of youngsters behind the goal. Language disappointing and support poor. Embarrassing. Other than that a good day out. Stones comfortably the better side, decent passing game and looked determined to bag a win. 3 points gained and a more confident performance. George has got something to work with now. Onwards to the FA cup. Bring it on ! I tend to stand away from the behind-the-goal supporters, so I don't know what went on, but I've heard there was an argument between our own supporters (about personal opinions?) which got aggressive/silly. Not impressive, if true. Has the Facebook lot started meeting in real life?! No idea what happened , but as usual the younger generation dont know how to behave. And the reason for that is they have never been disciplined so they mostly do as they please. And thats all down to the rules and laws that the older generations have put in place. So all this shit is only because they have been allowed to do it. As for the game, good result, but the mood is still bad because we have won 2 games in 8, we've lost more than we won, we've conceded more than we scored. So to Dave, lets not call out fans for not getting all excited and living in lala land. We're near the bottom when we should be near the top. When we are 2nd or higher then we can all be happy with how its going.

Tbh it's a shade dispiriting to read that we have a right and expectation to be top of the league. Anything else and some supporters think it's a failure and start calling for the managers head or even the owners. Their lives will continue to be full of frustration and disappointment with glasses never more than half full. For me I'm happy to take every success when it comes and celebrate. One match at a time, carry on supporting the club. Simples!

As mentioned previously, the “big four” with promotion expectations are currently 5th 10th 13th and 17th in the league.
They’ll mostly finish higher than their current positions.

A nice surprise, coming back from holiday, to find 1-0 had turned into 4-1, with all the goals from forwards. As ever though, it is the next game that matters, especially as it is at home and in the cup. The team need to prove themselves in front of home fans, playing proper football. Win, lose or draw. Cup runs aside, there were precious few of those last season, especially at home and in recent years it is arguable they have lost the knack. Hence too many supporters becoming harder to please - and not without reason. So, onwards and upwards. We can't win every game, but decent home form will bring the people in and with it, their money, which is all part of the bigger equation.

Watching the highlights, we seemed to do as well as the first 20 mins of the Cheltenham game but for the whole match and Enfield didn’t really pose enough of a threat compared to them. Aaron now has the confidence to put his foot through it when on goal so one problem solved at least. My thinking is it’s early days still but a result that should boost the morale which is what they needed. Next home game is the real test.

I think we saw enough to have reasonable hope that we've turned the corner, but Enfield were so bad that it's difficult to know how justified this hope is. Beating H&RB on Saturday would make me more certain, but the real test is the coming month or so. Chesham at home looked a walk-over a few weeks ago, but they're on a run now, with three wins in three (although none of those were against top clubs). Then Worthing away - they may not be doing so well this season, but still a difficult fixture. Followed by Torquay away - I know wags will point to our history as their bogey club, but they are 5th, with 5 wins out of 8, so that's going to be another hard game. Then 6th placed Slough at home - a team that tends to unnerve us, followed by another bogey club, Aveley - they may be 21st, but they are still Aveley! And, finally, the month ends with the current leaders at home. I never thought I'd be worried about a game against HHT, but the table doesn't lie - 6 wins out of 8, and unbeaten... If we get through that lot with decent results, I'll start to believe again. Top-half of the table well before Christmas - and it's game on! I think we have what it takes, and I think we've turned the corner, but I also worry that this squad still needs a couple of tweeks. But, if there's one thing George has proved himself superb at, it's finding the right players at the right time.

Just remembered something that bothered me Saturday - how come their goalie was allowed to wear black??
OK, maybe it wasn't strictly black, maybe a very dark blue - but it looked black, and the fact that he was also wearing black socks made him almost indistinguishable from the ref! Apparently, we have to wear yellow shorts because there's a very, very slight chance that a player in a yellow shirt with black shorts might be mistaken for a player in a white shirt with blue shorts, but their keeper is allowed to wear almost exactly the same strip as the officials!!
Madness.

More than one or two tweaks I fear.
I reckon we will see at least 3 new faces in the team in the next 3/4 months.
Yes the team has underperformed but the balance isn't nearly right.

Think we might get more away points than home for a while. The difference in home and away form is stark. Home: Won 0 Drawn 1 Lost 3 = 1 point Away: Won 2 Drawn 2 Lost 0 = 8 points I was going to mention this, is our crowd working against the team? Does the Genco need to give it's collective head a wobble?
