Not at all. No one is forgetting that, what people do get sick of is some fans claiming the owners can do no wrong, then you claim Georges cup run saved the club. With an average gate of over 2k, plus the money generated from pitch hire, lotto etc to be in such a shit financial situation shows something has gone horribly wrong. So are the owners that bad with money, or is George wasting all our clubs money on the crap we've been watching for so long. If we were spending money we dont have (which is 100% true , hence the cup money made ends meet) then I want to be climbing up the pyramid and not sitting near the drop zone in the national south. The main reason for the losses was the Covid season when we played behind closed doors and got virtually nothing from the fund that was supposed to be distributed on the basis of lost gate money. But clearly you think you know more about football finances than the owners, and equally have no time for anyone who doesn’t agree with your anti owner sentiments. I’m not sure you’re right here Dave. I am sure Oliver suggested it was down to lower attendances due to poor team performance, poor recruitment, more travel costs, less bar spendings due to the rules, and player treatment. He said all of this on that Sticks n Stones podcast. I could say a rumour about a big chunk of one of the factors I mention but it wouldn’t be right knowing anyone can read it. Anyway GGS. One loss making year in however many years of ownership would likely mean “thinking fans” wouldn’t be chanting Ash&co out.

One of the problems with all fan forums is that many posters are unable to comprehend that opposite opinions aren't necessarily mutually exclusive.
The prime example of that on here is that the owners can be both heroes - for funding the stadium and subsequent improvements and bringing the Stones home, and, at the same time, make mistakes about how they run the club.
I will always be grateful for what Oliver and Terry have done for us, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to criticise them if they get things wrong. For instance, they clearly didn't give Jay the support he needed when we were promoted so rapidly, and then compounded their error when they thought sacking him was the solution. And, just as clearly, they took their eyes off the ball in the Hak relegation season. Both those mistakes cost us dearly.
But, in both cases, those were the actions of well-meaning people, with little experience of running a senior non-league club, who were trying to do their best for the club they had saved, not the evil owners of the Facebook group's lunatic dark fantasies. And, in both cases, they owned up to their mistakes and learnt from them. And, despite all the difficulties and criticisms, and with the probability of getting very little, if any, of their 'investment' back, they stuck with the club, and continue to selflessly do their best to for the club and us.
Plenty of owners, especially in Terry and Oliver's situations - one approaching retirement and the other having to cope with the complications of living in a different country, post-Brexit - would have taken what they could get after 10+ years of stress, and walked away. Some (many) would have just sold the ground, taken their money, and left us in the shit. But Terry and Oliver have stuck to their promise to do what's best for the club.
So, by all means, criticise them if it's merited, but calling for them to go is as insane as it is unjustified. Remember, without them, we wouldn't have a club. Getting relegated, or having a rough start to the season are minor difficulties in comparison. We, of all fans, should know that.

Just to be clear. If it wasn’t for Ash and Casey, we wouldn’t have a modern stadium in the heart of town. Maybe we would have no club at all. If it wasn’t for George Elokobi, our football club would be half a million pounds in debt. Anything else is just noise and yeah but yeah but. If anyone else can do better than those men, step up now and show us. If you have any complaints about those men, say it to their faces. They’re all regularly available for a chat.

It's a shame we lost that game 4-1, at Enfield...
....sorry...
....we won!
Blimey, I was reading all this moaning...
One question...
What happens if we lose?

So how can you be happy that the owners run the club into half a million pound debt ? The new pitch is always part of the plan, so you budget for that in the long run. Along with the changes to facilities. The cup run was a lucky financial escape, the football gods were for once on our side.

One year of loss since 2012 is hardly an indication of bad owners.

And 1 lucky cup run is hardly an indication of a good manager, a 4 month winless run, relegation, failed promotion and ugly football. Add the outburst to the fans and we have George being praised for saving the club.

I agree that orchestrating and motivating a great cup run when you are total underdogs is one thing but motivating all you can afford average NLS players to get promoted is another. However George nearly did it last year. Personally on observation over the past few years I think George seems to be both a great motivator to play for and an unforgiving taskmaster with a ruthless streak with underlying anger issues so not all players would be comfortable with that and often they appear just scared stiff of failing which could be why we get unimaginative and nervous performances. But Enfield. But playoffs last year. George is far from perfect as are all of us and this year has been intensely frustrating and disappointing but without George we could well be in a far worse mess. We are no longer the Manchester United of non league football (If we ever were?) so let’s accept we are at the level of the Mangles Hemels and Chesham. For the foreseeable future anyway.

A minute later the Worthing forward score. An inch lower from Rushy and history changes...
