The same fans would be optimistic, the same ones would be moaning about ticket prices, no beer and struggling I'm happy to pay more to be higher up the pyramid, dont need beer at football, im there for the football not having to need to drink and I'd rather be struggling in the national league than struggling in the National south There are lots of other options to watch higher up the pyramid...

It's not great at the moment although we all hope it's going to get better.
If you can't support the team decently when the going is a bit shaky, then yer right, you're not a proper supporter.

This is meant to be a fans forum. Not let's sack the manager, let's sack the owners, let's sack the players and that sort of drivel.

I pay the entry fee, so I can support the team how I like. If they dont deserve to be applauded, then I'm not doing it.
If you got to a restaurant and get a bad meal, you dont say it was nice and tip. If you go to a show and the acting was poor, you wont be applauding and cheering at the end. So why should football be any different ?
If I don't like what I'm seeing on the pitch, I act accordingly. Im not going to pussy foot around and say its all good incase someone is offended. The football at the moment is a load of shit and its not entertaining.

Yeah but if you go for a meal and it’s lovely, you don’t get the chef and kitchen staff out and they come over and do an orchestrated run, cheer and jump and fist pumps. You don’t sing, how shit much you be, you’re eating a steak to the other patrons

In the 8 games so far this season, how many times have the players come over and done an orchestrated run, cheer and jump and fist pumps?

Sadly you are right woody.
The football has been 'wooden' which is clearly not to your liking.
Couple that with a defensive look to the playing tactics, a lack of exciting wide play, an abundance of hoofballs and plenty of sideways passing, it's been mostly pretty dull fayre.
Can't even moan very much about missed chances as the creativity bit has been absent too.
Collective and individual under-performance has played its part and that's down to George to sort.
Whatever the critics say, there are plenty of decent players in the squad, but they are obviously under-achieving.
Still think the balance of the team needs some proper tweaking, including a clever and creative midfielder together with a strong ball winner, def want a good sized striker plus a fast, zippy winger of old.
There you are George, just 4 new players. Over to you.

That’s just football. Always has been, always will be. You take the rough with the smooth and you don’t tell them how shit they are. Christ, there are some self entitled people claiming to supporting this club.

The cup run, the run in, the playoffs, to a new season with little jeopardy (and an underperforming team).

If you want orchestrated theatre, then there is the premier league. At Enfield the players came over and loads of the team came down the fans fiving them. Personally, I'm there to watch football not desperate to be applauded at the end or see orchestrated run and jumps.

Was just pointing out that the “if I’m in a restaurant” analogy is irrelevant and a poor one Err, why are the players going to do that when there's nothing to "celebrate"? They ain't silly they know it's not good enough atm, but the pathetic booing and chanting is even worse, so I don't blame them. A nice win on Saturday (ie good performance, not a lucky or just about) and a few goals, comfortably seeing us into the next round, will boost positivity from all sides. Some so called supporters just need to have a bit of/more respect for the team, manager and the owners. Never mind your weird restaurant comparison 😂😂
