Talking of the riverside, did we ever complete the purchase of that three metre strip of land?
And why does no one ever mention the water main these days?

Pretty sure the land has been purchased but as for building the stand, can't recall if £0.5m or £1m was mentioned. Either way it's not much of a money maker and will take many, many years to recoup the spend. Needs more sponsorship, another owner or grant aid to help foot the cost. If the club could average attendances nearer 2,500 then maybe that could help swing it.

Until the town end can be built up in a similar fashion to the Genko, it makes sense to use it as the 'away' end, keeping the Genko just for home supporters solves a lot of problems at a stoke. Sure there would be some small cost involved but hopefully some savings by not having so many police and stewards needed! It might also stop some of the vitriol when large groups of opposing supporters are so close together, just my opinion anyway.

We need crowds of 2,500+ to help recoup the huge losses of the last 2 seasons before we can think about new stands.

Oliver recently said it would cost 2 to 3 million to do the Town End and Riverside.
So it won’t be anytime soon. Need to get the best set up out of what we have.

But the big spend is the Town End, which def needs another investor. The riverside stand is planned to be just 4 rows deep (compared to Main Stand of 6 rows/hospitality) so more affordable but with nothing like the the payback. Still with growing attendances, the extra seating and better viewing would be appreciated by quite a few supporters.
