At last, somebody talking sense on this forum and I mean soulstone. So blindingly obvious that changes are needed and it just needs a little open mindedness to see the opportunities.

Cannot understand the can't change, won't change, mustn't change lobby.
Adjusting barriers, thoroughfares and facilities is hardly rocket science.
The Genco stand is 100% certain to become an exclusive home for Stones supporters in the future.
Let the club get on with it and not be put of by off by the negativity of a few Mainstanders.

It's a pity that those supporters on the forum that are keen to see improvements at the club are 'put down'.
You don't have to agree with stadium improvement suggestions from others but to simply dismiss them as rubbish or garbage suggests a very narrow minded and dogmatic nature.

Funny thing when I chat to fellow supporters it seems like 100% of them would love the Genco Stand to be just for Stones supporters. Just on this forum it appears that a few diehards exist and get themselves heard, insisting that nothing must change. Maybe they should change, but I won't hold my breath.

We are a non league club and thanks to the 3G pitch we always will be,there should be no call for segregation at all. It should be made clear to all fans, home or away, young or old up cause trouble and are caught you get a lifetime ban .

Hang on there swordy, not saying I know you, but I read your posts with interest. They can be angry, volatile, moany, critical, self depracating, inflammatory and downright rude on occasions. Glass houses and stones come to mind. As you suggest though, it's not just under 14s who can misbehave.

Maybe deadly is right and it's simply an age thing.
But it's not how old you actually are, it's much more about how old you feel and think.

A threat of a lifetime ban from the club you support should be deterrent enough but would need all clubs to be on board with the the threat. I misbehaved in my junior years and if caught I got a backhander from my father which damn well hurt and made me behave. These days parents are not allowed to deliver such punishments which is why the little shits get away with everything

Just an an aside, Leyton Orient segregate their East stand (all seated) with a segregation line (bigger than ours) and have limited trouble apart from away fans ripping seats out.
The gap needs to be made bigger to replicate the success there, but there is still the problem of giving away fans some seating which wouldn’t be possible if they were given only the Town end.

We’ve given one end of the Main Stand to visiting fans before. Those who pay to sit tend not to throw things. Or put them next to Dave.
We had a bigger gap against Gillingham. One third of the stand empty and it didn’t stop trouble. English football has always been about end terraces behind goals.

Segregating the town end is EASY and there is no need for extra turnstiles and the only thing lost to the away fans apart from the stand is the burger bar and the toilets near it. Ground grading requires 1 turnstile per 700 supporters the Genco capacity is 1768 the main stand holds 750 then there are the standing areas associated. There are only two turnstiles at the away genco end if home support is to come in that way there would need to be enough turnstiles there are currently only two. You can't simply allow Home and away fans to come in at the Town end car park turnstiles as its as much about keeping fans apart outside as in the ground the police job would be impossible outsidenin the car park this has to be all home or all away. If.you make it all away supporters the facilities at the Town end would be unaccesible to home fans and the current facilities at the Genco would be overwhelmed

Home fans would come in exactly the same turnstiles they come in now, next to the Spitfire Lounge. Visiting fans would come in the turnstiles near the river. Have you ever been to the Gallagher?

In the event of trouble when they leave you keep them separate how? And up James Whatman way. Let alone With the River nearby The various safety officers fire police and emergency services would not have it, what if you had to evac the ground in an emergency Be the quickest way to have the clubs safety certificate withdrawn

In any emergency serious enough to evacuate an entire stadium, nobody is going to have trouble on their minds. How do clubs with segregation manage? Mostly people leave and merge. On the rare occasions there might be trouble they hold back the away fans for a few minutes. It’s really not as complicated as some would have you believe.
