Also, safe to say, if he didn't land on the person below he almost certainly would have hurt himself a lot, lot more. If he'd broken his neck or spine by landing on the concrete below, would this be a lawsuit against Ipswich rather than 'assault' charges being bought against him?
The Ipswich forum mentions he punched two people after this happened? Not sure I've heard that before, do we know what happened there?

He was pissed out of his gourd and did something ridiculously stupid.
Doesn’t absolve him of the legal consequences, but he was lucky his and others injuries were not life changing.
Ipswich Town have ultimate legal responsibility for physical safety of paying customers.

Like there's one reply on the Ipswich forum that says: "Deliberately rolled down and off the roof. He may not have known there were people immediately below - but he absolutely did it deliberately."I mean, that's a stretch... Having watched the video dozens of times he made no attempt to stop himself from rolling.

Indeed, and it’s not like it was a very steep incline, and even if he didn’t set out to hurt anyone, assault can be due to recklessness rather than deliberate.

They didn’t have barriers Yes the guy may have been blathered but he meant no harm and surely wasn’t blathered enough to deliberately throw himself into the unknown-fellstupidly yes but deliberately? Mmmmmmm.

We find out tomorrow where it all starts again.....hopefully not where it ends too, given present form.

It will be interesting to see what happens further down the line.
I don't think I've seen the video of him getting onto the roof - does he fall or jump onto it? To keep rolling is, well, madness but jumping onto the roof surely puts the blame at his feet.

It certainly looked like he deliberately got onto the roof and it wasn’t so steep that he would have rolled off even if he made no effort to stop himself. I can’t say for sure because I was at the far end of the stand, but the videos I’ve seen certainly look damning.

To keep rolling is not madness it is the safest way to fall/land. I can still remember that from PE lessons over 40 years ago. Most of the blame on Ipswich Town IMHO but they can probably afford better lawyers.

You can keep making excuses for him, but whether it was deliberate or not, it was still reckless and thus leaves him vulnerable to an assault charge.

Does he even know that he faces charges?

Does he even know that he faces charges? I believe he’s been charged so he should do.
