While Coventry struggle to get into the playoffs. Strange world, football.
Good luck Ipswich!

What are your favourite memories of Ipswich?
Travelling by train via Cambridge due to rail strikes and being the only Maidstone fan on the train. Pre game meal at Isaac’s chatting with a local family who struggled for league tickets. Walking to the ground, being gradually joined by home and away fans talking to each other. That goal (obviously). Tattooed female rugby loving steward who was friendly but firm where needed. The poor miserable looking teenage Ipswich fan in the front row of their stand. That other goal. Maidstone are massive sung over and over instead of the usual home songs. The final minutes holding on to the lead. The final whistle and everyone going mad. Walking back to the station as part of an elated crowd of thousands. Friendly locals on the train back to Cambridge saying that was their worst game ever. Four famous Cambridge pubs before the train back home.
What sticks out in your memory?

Walking round the ground looking at the history of Ipswich town and pinching myself that we are actually here. Really friendly home fans before and after the game. Thinking what's everyone pointing and shouting at milli-seconds before the pass to Lamar. Lamar's finish. Thinking well that's that when they scored. Thinking WTAF when Corne scored. That melee where Lucas walks out and pounces on the ball. Getting to 85mins and thinking 'we could do this' Celebrating with Maidstone's finest, Mr U. The drive home still in shock Going to a Herne Bay pub and getting congrats on a Stones result for the firstbtime ever Ending up a sorry state in a Herne Bay night club still in my shirt and scarf

The goals, of course. The eternal EIGHT minutes of extra time. The noise from our fans. The singing of "Champion's League, you're having a laugh"! The unreality of winning a round of the FA Cup we'd never even been in before - and the genuine disbelief of fans on the coach afterwards, as the result sank in - "did that really happen?!" Cars hooting as they drove past while we were waiting for the coach in the morning. And, of course, those weird - and totally unexpected - flames at the beginning! How weird was that?!

Queuing for the tickets. Obviously the goals. First one WTF. Second one , just Mental. The Noise. Them battering us again and again but Covolan……The cab to the ground. Me being a Jock, the missus being a Londoner and the cab driver, African with a full on Glasgow accent. Surreal. Us wishing him well for Nigeria that day in the African Nations Cup. Him wishing us well for Maidstone ( He’d never heard of them, but still). He told us 2-1 Maidstone.Seeing the mass of black and amber outside the ground. Also seeing the same receptionist in the hotel on the Sunday who said on the Saturday we’d get humped. Magic of the Cup

Can Ipswich do against Liverpool what they failed to do against the Mighty Stones?!

By my count, 7 Ipswich players who played against Maidstone in their squad vs Liverpool today. 5 starting. Crazy really.

Just watching MoD, first match up is Ipswich v Liverpool. The commentator has just commented “The last team to beat Ipswich at Portman Road was Maidstone United in the FA Cup”. This one could run and run…..
