I think we are over thinking it. I can’t see us having to pay him off to sack him: if there are any clauses it’ll be on his side or if anyone comes to want ti speak to him, we will let them (if a higher league)

If I were him, I would be speaking to a lawyer about the safety of the ground, especially as they are now planning to or have already put in a new barrier along that drop.

But I thought the fall was an accident.

I suspect the 'charges' allow for a degree of recklessness or silliness, but nothing suggests the fall was deliberate or with intent to injure anybody.

Ok, so the perpetrator comes from Chatham, which perhaps indicates a lack of good taste, but surely nothing more sinister

Given the fact that Ipswich installed safety barriers after the incident, I'm surprised the case has got this far.

Like there's one reply on the Ipswich forum that says: "Deliberately rolled down and off the roof. He may not have known there were people immediately below - but he absolutely did it deliberately."
