One old boy on the train saying this is the worst defeat he’s seen at Portman Road in 60 years.

Anyone else keep checking for the announcement? Even people at work who have never been to a home game are talking about trying to get tickets. FFS...here we go

Heard Oliver on the Stones Aged Podcast discussing away ticket allocations - so far he’s aiming for 4,000 I think, the challenge being that whatever the number we ask for, if attendance falls short we pay a penalty. 4500 would be my bet but I don’t have to pay the penalty if only 3500 show up.
I have no problem with having plenty of “plastics” there - the more the merrier, and who would not want to watch this fixture? I’d be tempted (if I were Oliver) to put tickets up for sale now, with a £10 deposit, on the basis that anyone with a season ticket is guaranteed, anyone who can show proof on demand that they have attended any Tuesday evening fixture or away game is guaranteed, and everyone else will get in up to the limit of our allocation, first come, first served. That way we will have a better idea of how many seats to ask for, roughly, within a week. The problem is that someone has to figure out how to set up the ticketing web page for all that… In the next day or so. OK, bad idea…

Even better would be if we could use Ipswich Town’s existing ticketing system that allows various levels of club membership priority. If we could upload season ticket and membership numbers into their system, and release blocks in the Cobbold Stand as the previous one fills up. tickets.itfc.co.uk/en-GB/categories/homeWest Bromwich tickets go on general sale tomorrow, but have mostly been snapped up by members. Not saying that will happen with us, but must be a few Ipswich fans who struggle to get league tickets, and would want to see us.

Surprised they’re so cheap. Would have happily paid more. Should be a full house I suppose.

I think you will find that Ipswich fans were unwilling to pay top dollar to watch their team against a bunch of nobodies and this has doubtlessly affected the decision to pay the minimum price allowed. The cost of living crisis has also been taken into account and its a good deal for ALL fans. I think the fact we are in TV and get £100 000+ has swayed the clubs decision to agree,if we had not been on tv I think the club hierarchy would have held out for a bigger entrance fee. Full house? Unlikely but 20,000 is a possibility.

OK for the ticket sales on Saturday is it one ticket only per person or can one person buy 2/3/4/5 tickets - does anyone know?
I have a family group of @10 of us wanting to go but we cant all make it to the Gallagher to buy them this Saturday - but a couple of us could be there Saturday if they are allowed to buy five tickets each................is that going to be possible?

I would seriously doubt you could by 10 tickets even between a few of you as the club will be on the lookout for possible ticket touts. I don't know though so don't take it as gospel.

Yeah, thats what I thought but surely buying 2 or 3 tickets each between 3 or 4 of us isnt exactly ticket touting..........but paranoia may indeed abound. Maybe we could wear disguises and rejoin the queue with a Dave U wig and glasses

As it's Ipswich, you can probably get special 'family' deals...

I'll be getting ST ones, but, as I live near the ground (ish), I'm happy to buy on behalf of others, if you can't get there or need extras. Just don't take the piss!

Just a quick question. We have around 1000 season ticket holders of which maybe 100 will go to an away game so why do the other 900 get priority over everyone else? Now I'm not going anyway but I would think that regular away travellers might be a bit miffed at playing second fiddle to all the homies. One more point then I'll shut up and go away(hurrah!). The club has once again forgotten that a fair percentage of our support live nowhere near Maidstone, how do they expect fans who live 10,20,50,100 miles away or more to just get to the ground without taking time off of work and using shedloads of petrol? I fear once again that no real thought has gone into this,a wannabe Billy big bollocks professional(🤣🤣)club with the forethought and organization of a pub team. Minor rant over.
