Just a quick question. We have around 1000 season ticket holders of which maybe 100 will go to an away game so why do the other 900 get priority over everyone else? Now I'm not going anyway but I would think that regular away travellers might be a bit miffed at playing second fiddle to all the homies. One more point then I'll shut up and go away(hurrah!). The club has once again forgotten that a fair percentage of our support live nowhere near Maidstone, how do they expect fans who live 10,20,50,100 miles away or more to just get to the ground without taking time off of work and using shedloads of petrol? I fear once again that no real thought has gone into this,a wannabe Billy big bollocks professional(🤣🤣)club with the forethought and organization of a pub team. Minor rant over. Indeed, Sword. I think my match attendance has crept up to 14 games this season but I go when I am not working. This has seen me traipse to Torquay, Yeovil, and Chelmsford (on a Monday night, straight from placement). I can live with season ticket holders going first because they do - after all - pay to go and see all home league games. Where it is going to infuriate me is watching people who have never turned up before getting tickets simply because - unlike me - they ain't working on Saturday. I'm now reliant on others getting a ticket for me. It's starting to feel like Stevenage (2014) all over again.

The club have to prioritise to season ticket holders. This is a perk of buying one. It's not to say there wont be loads of loyal fans who aren't season ticket holders. It's just the way it works. It's unlucky for you. The money the season tickets bring is crucial to a budget and you need to make them attractive. I can't see the tickets selling out quickly. I have some tickets to buy for less regular fans. It's not ideal, it's just the nature of it. I can't see the club are to blame. They have a short time to sell as many tickets as possible. If you are struggling to get to the ground there was an offer further up from some kind soul.

This could be resolved with postal sales but I have it on good authority that the club are refusing to even entertain the idea of distant fans buying via post. I am sorry but I've had it with this clubs failure to organise anything to any acceptable standard.

Whatever system they put in place its never going to satisfy everyone. I just hope they are sensible and restrict people to say +1 including ST holders- if they want more they have to go to the back of the queue. I think they will sell out. The club will, I assume, be dishing out tickets to sponsors and players families so probably be less than 4K available to the fans.

If I am stopped from going entirely, only to see 500 regulars plus 4,000 first timers turn up in a 30,000 ground with 20,000 in it (simply because tickets get sold on a day I am working), my disillusionment with football will only increase.

It would seem I need a slap on the wrist as far as postal applications are concerned. I posted that the club will not entertain the idea of postal applications, this is wrong. I now understand that once all tickets have been sold the club will happily open it for postal applications. I do apologise to the club and its staff.

From what i am hearing you will not be the only Stones fan in the home end.

Completely agree with this, Bernie. Got to say I've heard very few complaints, only from our swordy and he isn't even going 🤣🤣 probably some on fb but I avoid that forum like the plague!
On that note I'd like to say well done and thanks to all those helping sell the tickets from tomorrow, and of course to the people organising the coaches... a lot to do but all for what's going to be a great day, whatever the result(?)!
Coys!

A few years ago we had a £5 a season membership that gave priority for this exact situation. But as it doesn’t happen too often I’m guessing it was dropped? Giving out vouchers at recent sparsely attended evening matches could have rewarded those who cannot attend at weekends. But ultimately, it’s always been season ticket holders first. Maybe consider a partial season ticket allowing you to pick and choose games? We are a small club without a big back office. They’re already coping with a massive volume of phone calls and emails, without running special schemes for a once in ten years occasion. What is a partial season ticket?
