Watching from the town end, our stewards react to problems rather than prevent them. When Dartford got a penalty, it was obvious what would happen. But they had to send in bodies after the event to clear the gangway with force. And when did we appoint a drunk cheerleader to stand with his back to the game in an area no one else can go, “conducting” the children and making hand gestures to wind up the away end? Please stop. It’s embarrassing. No wonder we can’t control games without serious injuries.

Calm down Mr Grinch - he certainly wasn’t drunk and wasn’t winding up the away fans (though he got plenty of stick from them) and him being there has no relation to the injuries on Saturday

Last night for example (a game with very little edge), there was a lad and his girlfriend standing where they shouldn't and he was asked to move. He was a bit of a dick about it and people started top back him- "leave them alone, they're not causing any problems" etc. I am of the opinion that the two should have listened and moved. This is just a minor example. Society these days is full of this rubbish. This is just an example. Try stewarding 500 x 16 years olds on Saturday - try and get them to move off the steps - yeah alright. The stewards are always accused of being heavy handed - this is the case everywhere as people don't like to be told what to do, especially when they cant see that they are causing an issue. Ultimately the 16 year olds need to act with some responsibility and look after their fellow fans. It's hard when excited and mob mentality takes over.

Five hundred 16 year old as a group should be very intelligent after all they do have a combined IQ of 500.

Unfortunately it is also some of our more experienced heads. For example, the source of the persistent “anonymous” anti Ash and Elokobi bile on the supporters facebook page is actually a group admin.
We shouldn’t be dragging opinions of the ownership structure or first team management into crowd control. Otherwise we lose touch of the real issues.

Who goes to football and stands facing away from the pitch 90% of the game, and making hand gestures at away fans for a third of the time? We’re not Celtic or Milan with conducted ultras: we’re a small non league club at the sixth tier. If the rules say no standing in the yellow hatching, that should apply to everyone. If you think it doesn’t matter, read the Dartford and Ebbsfleet forums. Our reputation is terrible for bad behaviour at home. I don’t get why one man is allowed such leeway.

This knobhead being tolerated (even encouraged) and the bloke getting injured are two aspects of the same thing.

It’s all about safety and who controls that critical area. The club, or a small section of unruly fans? If an away fan stood in the yellow hatching, back to the game making hand gestures at our fans, he would be thrown out.
Why can two or three thousand Dartford and Ebbsfleet fans enjoy their game without segregation, but all Kent derbies at the Gallagher are problematic? If 200 Dartford fans stayed away due to our fan behaviour, we need to address that loss of money and our good reputation.

Sack the safety/security manager, even the biggest of plebs knows the whole of the Genco should be given to away fans even if there is only 200 visiting fans.

Ultimately, the main problem is that we have away fans in what should be the home Kop. The only solution to this is to put away fans in the TE.
I appreciate (I should do by now!) that there are many objections to this, and some of them are genuine problems. But these problems can be got round. If the club really wanted to solve this problem (at least until the mythical new TE 'super stand' is built), they could do it. There is no other viable solution.
Until then, we will continue to have away fans in the best stand, and home and away fans winding each other up - and all the problems that produces.

If it was feasible the club would have done it.
