Only just seen the highlights, and that bar/post moment looks even scarier close up! But, and it's one hell of a but - when Sweeney rugby tackled Greenidge to the ground, why on earth wasn't that a pen? It looked like one live, but I only really saw the end of the tackle, so I assumed Sweeney had tripped or something, but now I've seen it in full, he clearly decided to take Greenidge out right from the beginning. How on earth did the lino and the ref miss that? That aside, the TV coverage was excellent for the club - a full ground and viewed from the river side, just looks so good. It's a pity the normal STV can't be done from that side. There are plans to erect a new media gantry on the river side. Once that’s done all highlights will have the best view of the ground. Out of interest, did you see the full motd highlights or one of the reduced versions available on the internet. We got about 8 minutes at the start of motd and some decent analysis afterwards. Alright dave. That's enough now.

I think it was a brief version on the official FA site? Presumably taken from the BBC coverage. As we don't have a TV, and therefore don't have a licence, we can't see BBC coverage, even on the internet (you have to put your licence number in to watch iPlayer), so I was quite surprised to see these highlights at all. Oddly, we can watch ITV programmes - live, as well as recorded, as you only have to register, not put your licence number in (although I have no idea if this is legal or not). So in Euro and World Cups, I only watch games put out on ITV!

And if you don’t admit the inspectors who have no right of entry, they will never be able to prove what channels you are watching.

I left my VPN off accidentally last year in London whilst lying and ticking the ’i have a license’ to watch player. They then sent numerous demands to the address as well as a solicitors letter. Fortunately I do not stay there anymore 😁

I've never actually tried - having no interest in TV at all - my wife said it asked her for her licence number, but she might have been confused (it happens!). She wanted to watch Call the Midwife, so I didn't investigate!

Fortunately I do not stay there anymore 😁 They've gone quiet recently, but for years I used to get regular letters (every few months) asking why I hadn't got a licence, and occasional visits from investigators. They actually used to ask if they could come in to check if we had a TV! I refused, of course.
