Allow me to dispel this conspiracy theory. 2016 - capacity of away end 800ish 2018ish - new crush barriers and underpinning/reinforcing of terracing. Authorities raise capacity of stand to 2000+ 2024 - Southend are allowed more fans Quite simple. So you are saying that if we played there tomorrow you would allow us 2000 fans,my f**king great fat arse would you, a reason would be found to limit us to 800 again not that we would bring 2000 now that the FA Cup glory boys have disappeared back into the woodwork. Capacities are decided on police advice, not by the club. If they decide the away limit is 1000, because of a known unruly element, then that is the problem of the away side. It's not for the police to be required to chuck scores of officers to monitor away crowds because they know there will be trouble. It's far wiser to limit the trouble in the first place. The extra gate money from a capacity crowd is useful, but not at any cost. Moral is, monitor your little Herberts and trouble makers, weed them out and ban them . |

Some Fleet fans would sooner argue that the roof on their main stand is level, than admit that their club is culpable for crowd trouble. |

True, this venue might be amidst conflict, but Fleet can't unilaterally decide to channel all their efforts into limiting the number of Maidstone fans who can witness their club's quest to secure yet another trophy. I wouldn't have objected to a visit to Stonebridge Road, as long as a truly neutral and fair capacity was guaranteed. |

I’ve seen the plans for the commie block flats upon which rests the future of Ebbsfleet. They make Wallis Park and The Hive look luxurious. Nobody from London will pay £500,000 to live there, so in the unlikely event it’s ever built, it’ll be filled with London council problem tenants via social dumping.
