Attendance 1400 ish. The entire crowd could have been accommodated in the Genco with one line of police snd stewards in between. The club knew how many tickets were sold and yet allowed a safety steward, way out of his depth,to make a decision so badly wrong, that has insulted each and every home fan in attendance. The club should immediately dispense with the services of John Harvey(I think that's his name) and issue a public apology across all forms of media to each and every home fan.š¤¬š¤¬š¤¬

So another KSC round... Deep joy.
But yet another Gills defeat!

I was there - straightforward win against what appeared to be a Gillingham Youth XI. Enjoyable evening.

Great to see some fantastic Stones play. Even if that wasnāt a particularly āAā team from Gillingham, Maidstone performance was again really encouraging. Sam Corne - wow. That was an awesome display of fitness, commitment and technique. Harley, Riley, Fowler (of course), Sole, Solā¦ Iām leaving out other fine stints too. Would a brilliant team have done better against us? Possibly - but the momentum these games develop make us harder to beat. Iām celebrating the undoubted fact that our team is playing well, it has fitness to match anyone, and it all looks encouragingly in-accidental. Could we have been better? Sure. One player in particular would do well to show a bit of speed. Or strength. Or foresight. Too many bad days at the office recentlyā¦ but if a team can carry a makeweight and still win games, itās doing well.

Blimey, haven't really been on the board in a few months and the mood here is BLEAK. Want to find anything else to moan about??
Very enjoyable game for Stones fans. Every player put in a shift and we really turned it on at points. Pie hut was open and I had a lion bar for the first time in 15 years. Lovely stuff.

I think that's our 7th win in a row, and 6th without conceding. This is starting to feel like the last NS championship season - except that I was never convinced in the earlier part of that season. If anything, we look more solid and determined - and talented - this time around. And, despite Hak constantly going on about fitness, fitter too.

Looking at our squad, we should have no problem competing at the top. Kept a solid core (Bone, Corne, Wanjau-Smith, Fowler, etc all looked solid last night) and added quality here and there. We even got lucky tbh - Amantchi is on fire despite never really hitting form elsewhere in his career.

The George doubters have def gone on holiday. Even those facebook wankers have gone quiet. From a quiet start the squad has just grown in stature and improved steadily. No weaknesses in the team and the bench is beginning to look healthy too. The KSC is hardly a priority but it will do for now. Meanwhile we are looking serious play off contenders in the league and getting ever closer to visiting the Emirates in the FA Cup. Happy days.

Those that did not attend to support the club missed a master class in passing and ball retention as well as a well worked goal. Harley did not have a lot to do but was brave when he needed to be and must have enjoyed the crowd singing "He's one of our own". The Gillingham fans went very quiet after the penalty and we were so dominant that they had little to cheer.
If our youth team had not played on Monday I am sure more would have been included against a Gillingham mixture of youth and B team players but special mention to Riley Court who played the second half in place of Bone. He is an exciting prospect and it will be interesting to see how he develops over the next few years.
It was encouraging to see that the effort and tempo never dropped even though we were so much on top. It would have been easy for senior players to ease off but they all put in a shift. Sol never stopped running (our Ollie Watkins?) and gave the ball to Devonte to smash past the keeper. A selfless act as he could have added to his own tally and was rewarded by a selfless act by another player to set him up for his goal.
Gillingham have not won the KSC since 1948 and the wait continues.

This incident and the previous crowd problems justifies the police/clubs decision to keep the animals as far away from our fans (and idiots) as possible. If the Genco had been shared then we might have faced a fine or worse but as it was there was no way the fans could hurl anything worse than insults. The numbers attending were known in advance and had the weather been different there was room to accommodate our fans under cover at the town end and main stand.

And if we draw them in the FA Cup? Do they get the whole stand to themselves again?
