Who did you expect ? Thomas Tuchel ! No just somebody that’s some experience of management would be good Such as ? Harry Wheeler ? John Still ? both had 'some experience of management' and in John's case, rather a lot. Neither did much for us these past few years

No surprise the usual suspects are happy with their heads in the sand. The same people who no doubt were saying we would finish in top half at start of season 😂😂 Who are you attacking this time? Attacking. 🤣🤣

Neither did much for us these past few years No one thought appointing Wheeler was a good idea except our owners, who lets be honest have a terrible record of choosing managers. Jay was the only one they ever got right.

I’m pleased with this appointment. He knows the club well and can rebuild for next season. Welcome to life in the hot seat George. Ignore the moaning old men and get the team playing with smiles on their faces.

So that’s ok then 👍🏻 no wins but why does that matter eh as long as players are happy

Have backed George since the start, I have the feeling that George is set for a bright future and what better way to start by bringing back the good times to Maidstone. He will also look beyond Essex for players to bring in.

Well, the players could respond by winning on Saturday, but nobody will be holding their breath on that. George doesn't have the greatest CV in terms of league games won (none), but am guessing his wage demands aren't excessive and he will have the dressing room on his side for now. The best thing for him as regards his appointment is there is no pressure for at least the first dozen league games, because we are already relegated in all but name. He therefore has a decent chance to build his own squad for next season, after which the pressure will build, because wins are expected.

Our players are all enjoying themselves." Losing every week but hey at least the players are all enjoying themselves why doing it.....no wonder we've seen no improvement when this is George's attitude.

Can we all remember Butlers doom and gloom so that we ensure he eats humble pie this time next season when George proves to be a very good manager and a much better judge of players than Hak has been this year. The players George has at his disposal are not good enough for this division with perhaps 3 or 4 exceptions so it is a reflection on his management that he has the players trying and playing better football than we saw earlier in the season even though survival is only mathematically possible. It would be understandable if some players were just going through the motions but you can see that is not the case. The players George has brought in on loan are all decent and would not look out of place in NLS. I am pleased George has been given the opportunity, I trust his judgement and his honesty and look forward to him proving Butler wrong and him becoming a legend.

So that’s ok then 👍🏻 no wins but why does that matter eh as long as players are happy It's difficult to win when you are not good enough and let's face it the players are not good enough but that should not stop them from enjoying themselves, I don't suppose they like losing every week but you can't just offload a whole squad and build another one during a season and so George is having to work with what he has. This year is a dead loss but he needs to be given support and backing of the owners to ring the changes for next year. I don't for one minute expect him to take us straight back up, though many will, let's just get back to playing good football and winning a few games.Georges appointment has made my mind up to return to home games next season whereas someone else may have ended my interest.COYS! COBG!

The owners had nearly 3 months and George is the best option they can find??
When Tonbridge, Dartford and Cray can all afford experienced managers and this is the best we can do it really is a f**king joke and shows how little ambition this club has.
No wonder fans of all the local clubs are laughing at us, I would be doing the same if they appointed a manager who hadn't won a league game in nearly 3 months.
I really hope I'm proved wrong, but at the moment my expectations for next season are so low I could see us doing a Weymouth.

Well good luck George. This shows how bad the other applicants were. George’s experience playing the game at all levels couldn’t be better, his enthusiasm and effort can not be questioned, his fondness for the club is not in question, his tactics could probably be questioned, but at the same time the best tactics in the world can’t turn water into wine! The only thing that I worry about is his ability to build a squad which requires a good knowledge of players available at this level. Let’s hope this works out well in the off season. So in my opinion this is a risk, but I’m edging towards a worth while sensible risk. Is it bad time to mention how well a previous player and manager is doing with a nearby Kent team that wear blue! Over achieving with that budget I would say!!!
