At least 2 real surprises in the players that Dover have released
Kevin Lokko is a class act and is club captain and player of the season, something must have happened.
Inhi Effiong is on the way out too and he is the club's top scorer for last season, so that doesn't make much sense.
Less surprising but still a very decent player is Jai Reason, another whose contract is not renewed.

Lokko and Effiong would have offers elsewhere and Dover probably couldn’t match them.
Two of the more expensive wages as well.
Dover usually manage to recruit well, and cheaper.

Completely agree about lokko and effiong would be two of if not thee highest earners and they have ro make cuts somewhere. Jai reason would be a welcome addition to our team (would release khan corne to attack) and Ade yusuff but we already have a number of forwards. Modeste would be too expensive for us

The last game he played was always going to be his last in a Dover shirt.

You may well be right jakeyboi and yet This is the same Aaron Simpson that left the club at a young age to sign up for Wolves He went to chase his dream, which in the same position, nearly all of us would have done But to turn around full circle over 5 years is more than a shade disappointing for Aaron.

It’s a tough business but he has hardly played any senior football and he must be 21/22 years old.

But young enough to still want to improve himself ,and prove his worth so maybe the kind of player we are looking for. No good filling the team with players who feel they have nothing to prove, one or two is ok but we need good energetic youngsters as well.

Every season Dover look like a car crash at the beginning of the season, and I predict that this is going to be where they finally hit the buffers.
But every season - amost without fail - they recover and do well!!!
Pisses me off somewhat.

Even though he,s turned full circle in 5 years Rob he,s still young enough an if he,s keen enough this could be the perfect platform an club for him to try again.

He really was a good player when he was with us. I really thought he was good when he was with us strong fast an cool when under pressure ideal for a defender, now if we can get him back maybe for a season or two before another big club notice him it could be to our advantage.

With many non leagues saying they are planning for a September start (KCL yesterday and NL last week for instance) surely we will need to hear something from the club soon? .

Well its all about opinions and imo Jay Reason was a decent player. Surprised when Jay released him to be replaced by some second rater from Woking, whose name I can't even remember. Whoever it was he was culled by the boy wonder pretty quick. But there again this was Jay at a time when he signed Quigley and Mullings another right hopeless pairing. Before bbj gets too upset let me say JS1 got it right a heck of a lot more than he got it wrong, but it wasn't his best time at the club.
