JDL if nobody known nuffink, how come a club like Ramsgate have made 3 new signings in the past week, including one of our own. Please explain. So we have to copy these other clubs do we? Just because they are being reckless does that mean we have to follow suit? Once we know when the season will start and how many fans are allowed in then club can set their budget accordingly. All this crying because other clubs are signing players is quite frankly embarrassing.

No sir, the idea is that we should be doing better than other clubs.
But sitting on your hands with your head buried in the sand is doing better, then live the dream !

It’s fine. The players Hak wants to keep will have been spoken to and offered deals unofficially. Ryan Johnson would have been told he can go elsewhere as he isn’t good enough.
I would not panic. We will have our pick of the best players in this league as most clubs will be brassic.

I don’t think non league is for you mate. Get back on sky sports news and wait for the breaking news transfer stories. Also we may well be doing better than some of these clubs if they end up going out of business no?

Fact is dan, butler admits to knowing nothing so he can hardly claim to know whats best. We supporters have no more than the crumbs from the table so either there is nothing happening at all or simply that what is happening is not shared with supporters. Doesnt seem possible that the club has not been in touch with players, they need to know if any have a future with the club. If some clubs are able to sign players now, it does suggest that contracts can be designed in a way that caters for an uncertain future

There are a few, happily just a few, mates on the forum who think their opinion matters more. Simple ! If you have a different opinion you normally get told "where were you when the club was at Ashford or Sittingbourne". Mr Butler is one of them

Funny how mates can fall out during a pandemic when there is sweet fa happening. It would be nice to think that Mr B is right and everything will be ok for the club with or without a a manager.

Nobody can be sure of what is right or wrong, most people are trading on an absence of information and relying on hunches or wishful thinking. The idea that clubs who are signing players now will somehow go bust, is not credible when nothing is known about the circumstances. Just seems like a knee-jerk to the position that Stones 'appear' to be in lock-down. So doing nothing is best ? Maybe it is but maybe it isn't. I know that for my own small business, planning and taking the right steps now puts the business in a better shape to survive for tomorrow which may be closer than you think. Perhaps that doesnt apply to football but just a bit hard to believe.

For the club to get ready for tomorrow we may need to a manager to start a re-build. I didn't think Hak was on a contract for next season whenever.

Oliver has posted this on twitter.........
Study of impact of possible 25% crowd restrictions next season on well-supported clubs - yes the figures for losses are probably understated. Would be Tough for MU and our fans. It’s why it’s impossible to set playing budget right now...
Does this help some of you crying about not signing players?

Any such restriction is likely to hit the club much harder than most other clubs. Lets hope it doesnt come to that. Most of the time we get fairly close to 50% capacity, so any ruling like 25% would be catastrophic for Stones, whereas plenty of clubs in NLS could live with that, no problem.

Mr Butler is one of them It is not a matter of people thinking their opinion matters more it's about people thinking which at times you are not very good at . You dont want what is best for the club you want what is best for you ,Dan is the same. I dont know how old either of you are but I would guess at youngish so when we were at Sittingbourne and Ashford you may have been too young to attend,I dont know, perhaps you could enlighten us all by telling us so that in the future old farts like me do not get the wrong impression.

Exactly it's no good setting a budget of say £10,000 per week if we can then only get a maximum £15,000 per fortnight. This is what I have been preaching all along we cannot act until we know what will be happening. Other clubs are gambling with their futures, this may turn out to be a good gamble but what if it doesnt? As a club we are not financially ready for promotion yet which is why I advocate a play it safe season to let the stormy waters settle before we set sail for gloryland.
