The boys on the naughty step have been fined a weeks wages, will this be a kick up the backside they need or will they just say I cant be bothered anymore? Braintree may provide us with some answers to that question.

The only question that Braintree is the answer to is "where's the biggest shithole in Essex?".

The only question that Braintree is the answer to is "where's the biggest shithole in Essex?". You never been to Shenfield then? I grew up in Romford! It's an indication of my feelings for Braintree that, although I know Essex more intimately than a anyone ever needs to, I can still make that statement. When you think what O&T had to spend on JWW to get it up to NL 'standard', when it was already a superb stadium, you have to ask yourself how on earth do clubs with grounds like Braintree's EVER get into the NL??

It would be so nice not to have Braintree on the fixture list.
What a dump, what an unpleasant experience every visit.

So the 'fabulous 3' are hanging on to their jobs by their fingertips.
To be honest I find it difficult to get behind players who cannot be bothered half the time.

Well, they have put more pressure on themselves to deliver the business. Justin Amaluzor and Iffy Allen are both decent players but have been let down a bit by inconsistency. Now supporters will rightfully ask is the inconsistency down to being less than 100% committed. As for Ibrahaim Olutade, clearly a good goalscorer at a lower level, can he really cut it at NLS or higher ?
Whatever, supporters will forgive and get behind them quickly enough, if they deliver properly from now on.

One player you can never doubt about giving 100% is Sam Corne.
Hard to believe it is way back in September since we last saw him perform in a Stones shirt.
Doing so well at the time, looked really good alongside Khan, such a shame that injury.
Now the consultant says he can play through the pain without 'repercussions'. Mmm !
Happily, we do look to have developed a really balanced and decent midfield in Khan, Temelci and Boucard.
With these 3 playing well and looking the part, no great rush for Sam to get back too quickly.

Just seen the predicted weather forcast for this weekend so let,s hope it,s not yet another result affected by the weather. Still going for a scrappy 2-1 win with a slightly lower attendance than normal. Looks like we escape the serious weather during the game but Sunday is going to be horrific . They say it could be as bad as October 1987 but I have my doubts about that. If it is a prediction from Michael Fish, it should be ok.

The only question that Braintree is the answer to is "where's the biggest shithole in Essex?". I think Pitsea is close to the biggest shithole winners.

The IKEA that I visited Saturday after Billericay was called off must be a contender!

East Thurrock a dump too, and hard to find! That's because it doesn't really exist! West Thurrock is a place, as is Little Thurrock, but where Google thinks East Thurrock is is actually Stanford-le-Hope - and it's miles away from the other Thurrocks! Mind you, that's not a bad thing...

The IKEA that I visited Saturday after Billericay was called off must be a contender! It's a soul-destroying place, especially at weekends, and, if that doesn't ruin your day, the long wait to get out of the Ikea/Lakeside car parks will finish the job. You're better off going to the Croydon one. It's pretty much the same (although a lot less Essex), but easier to get to, and out of, afterwards. And you can go by train and tram if you're only browsing - which is almost pleasant.
