I think a lot of people just see us getting crowds of 2000+ and automatically think we're spunking silly money on players.
When realistically we will have one of the lowest budgets this season.

Consecutive promotions will be catching people's eyes along with our recent FA Cup exploits. A nervousness about playing on 3G might also make them think we'll have an advantage at home.

Nicky Deverdics has left Dover for league football at Hartlepool. I hope he's not married, once you've checked out the Friction Match Museum at Stockton, there's not a lot left to keep the ladies entertained up there....

According to Varney, definitely not and he won't be going anywhere. From the BBC article: [Begins] Varney insists he is committed to his role as executive vice chairman at Ebbsfleet, where he has been since summer 2013, and is not looking to return to Charlton. "It has not worked too well in the way the PR has come out," he said. "This is nothing to do with Kuwaiti European Holdings, who own Ebbsfleet. "I have a bit of history of being the person to contact if there is to be investment in Charlton.

The more important question is Kuwaiti European Holdings committed to the Paramount development? Judging by the way they have been buying up businesses and land in the area, I'd say they are pretty serious about it
