I didn't go to the game last night but, a defensive error for the first, and a soft pen for the second, and a couple of great chances to get back in the game missed. It was two poor sides on display, so frustrating for us fans, you know what it's like. There was a spell in our last foray in the NL, where we had games like this (inbetween some shellackings of course). Frustrating. The little mistakes are often punished and the refs are often poor, so much so that when you get a half decent one it's worth pointing out. Loan market will be your next stop I am guessing...but you need someone to take some of the players who aren't cutting it. Tanga not getting much of a look in? Injured? Most of the fans are baffled why Tanga doesn't start. He came on against Oldham late on, and we were pushing for a winner after getting it back to 1-1, but another defensive lapse put paid to that which is a common problem. Saturdays are so depressing, oh and Tuesday. Happily though the grandsons team is off to a flyer in the Medway league having been promoted last season, so far the parents have been behaving themselves.  |

I suspect our manager won't give Tanga too many opportunities.
For example, v Oldham, we fielded a central midfield 6, and had 4 wingers out of 7 on the bench.
Can anyone with any nous about football explain that to me?

Can anyone with any nous about football explain that to me? It’s an odd one. Perhaps the starting line up was all of the form players (do you have any) or in response to how Oldham set up. You had a tricky decision to make on the manager who kept you up. Having kept him and shelved him it’s now looking a bit unorganised. Agee all of those patient years of McMahon and The German guy. It’s a thankless task running a football club. |

Sarfend have been given permission to renovate Roots Hall and to increase its capacity. This will be partly funded from the sale of houses on the plot of land whete the new ground was supposed to be built
