I knew the tickets would be like gold dust but sold out in only 80 minutes on general sale one per person at the ground simply amazing...

A guy on the Tony kempster forum recons they weren't sticking to the one per person limit. Only hearsay so don't know how true it is.

Lot of people on facebook saying they were only allowed one so multiple sales appear to be the exception rather than the rule. Think the demand has taken everyone a little by surprise as it took a few days to sell out last time, would be nice if we could get another 200 in as I'm sure we could, probably fecking health and safety.

i bought 2 tickets one for me and one for my 11 year old son who goes with myself most weeks.. i think the issue is more the size of the ground .. But dont want to sound disingenuous love the new ground and would hate temporary fixes to be put in place ,just need to be patient and when games like this occur be prepared to get your tickets early

Thats the real shame about this that the ground could hold many more health & safety gone OTT !!!!!

Its always gonna be a problem with a smal ground but hopefully things will improve.

The ground is perfect for us, this season our average crowd is 1700, yes we have sold out today and had a couple of massive crowds this season but it would be mad for the owners to expand the ground for the odd big gate, if we had sold out each game this season then yes expand the ground, but I think the owners are business savvy and realise its better to build slowly and avoid the possible boom and bust of the past

Pissed off about this.
They should have given semi-final ticket holders first refusal. Instead of just waiting to see if we got through, we turned up and supported the team. and, now, just because I couldn't get down there before 9 tonight, I won't see the final.
How many of those who got tickets will bother to turn up at league fixtures next season?

toonarmy, that's one way of looking at it, but at our level you've got to factor in the exceptional games. Big clubs can rely on a pretty regular crowd, which only increases a bit for the big games, but at our level you can go from a few hundred on a rainy Tuesday night in January to 3,000 or more for a cup game.
For a club with Maidstone's history and ambitions to limit themselves to a 2,000 ground doesn't make much sense. I can understand the directors' reluctance to invest in capacity likely to be mostly unused (it's their money, after all), but as soon as it became obvious that we were attracting a regular crowd of 1,600+ they should have started doing what they needed to to bring the stadium up to it's full 3,000 capacity. I'm sure they could have done this without spending too much, if (as we are so often told) it was 'just' health and safety issues.
In the longer run, I think we really need to have a stadium that can take 5,000. OK, I know it's not likely to be full too often (!) and it might seem a bit empty playing Walton Casuals in the League Cup on a weekday night, but no one moaned about the 'extra' capacity at London Road.
I don't know enough about the logic behind the design of the Gallagher and what options we have for expansion (buying/leasing adjacent land, etc), but I would hope that they included the possibility of expanding to around 5,000 at some point in the future in their planning.

I'm not sure what the problem is?, just get a season ticket and then you can buy a playoff ticket before anyone else... hopefully there will be an increase in season ticket sales for next season when we'll be in the Playoffs (If not top). I realise that its a lot of money to pay out in one go...but there were half season tickets available as well.

They should of thought about this months ago and sorted a plan out! I've seen so many faces down there the past 2/3 home games that have hardly been all season because its the glory part of the season especially last night! I've heard and seen social network posting pictures of 2/3/4 tckts that they've got per person! And bloody committed people season tckts only being able to get one per tckt! Like we say providing we go up and get in the premier and have started losing a few the gates will be back down to 1500-1700! It's like cup finals everyone wants a piece of the potiential glory when they've hardly turned up all season I'm afraid so people will miss out unfortunately!
