Must agree with Angela. Final tickets were aways going to sell quicker than tues's because of the match not being midweek and kids being able to go. Maybe mutv could stream the match live???

All very exciting/frustrating/annoying etc, but as mentioned elsewhere, particularly by Toonarmy the voice of reason, this is not a situation that is going to occur on a regular basis. There is no point making permanent arrangements, or spending loads of dosh on ground improvements, to cater for an occasional play-off. I congratulate the club for organising the printing and sale of tickets so quickly.
I for one won't be there on Saturday, I won't ever again arrange a holiday for our wedding anniversary, just in case of a repeat!!

I'm sure if anyone has any better ideas on how it could be done in the future the club would be happy to listen to you

I agree with Angela that next season we need some sort of card that is stamped when you go through the turnstyles . Then if we have a big game you can get a ticket if you have a certain number of stamps on your card (depending when in the season the game is) . Also we need to look into the number of tickets each person can get ... The club did mention e-ticketing so not sure how that will work for this type of match

I think a loyalty card is a great idea. You could have different bands for high profile games. So Season tickets first, then 15 games or more, 10 to 14 games, then 1 to 9 and then lastly general sale. Something similar anyway. The membership scheme would work if the capacity was 3000+.

I agree a system is needed, but for myself a loyalty card would not work as I now work Saturday evenings, so miss a lot of games. I also have to book my Holidays for the whole financial year by the end of March, so all my holidays are booked and therefore I will be getting to see the Stones once a month whether it be home or away. I also live in Brighton and find getting tickets difficult but with Friends helping me out got tickets for Tuesday and for Saturday (THANK YOU you know who you are) but if this was to happen again with a loyalty system I would not be able to get tickets as I would only have been to a handful of games, but would still be a loyal supporter, where as a membership scheme where you pay a bit to the club then get a chance to buy tickets after season ticket holders but before going on general sale would mean anyone would be ale to get tickets, and the club would make on it by charging a small fee, but they could also put a cut off on it say like a month before the all ticketed match, so people could not buy into the membership scheme at the last minute, so all loyal supporters would get the tickets first.

Shouldn't unsold allocation tickets be returned to the club?

Shouldn't unsold allocation tickets be returned to the club? Unless Faversham have paid up-front for their whole allocation.

For what it's worth, and I admit it's too late to implement, but tickets sales for saturday's game should have been sold thus:
1st: Season Ticket Holders (VP, Seats & Ground) 2nd: Non-season ticket holders on production of a semi-final ticket - 1 ticket for 1 ticket, so no need for kids, wives etc to have to queue up. 3rd: General Sale to non-attendees at the semi-final game.

Why not make it a closed club so only those who have seen the Stones when they played at London Road, Sittingbourne or Ashford are allowed to attend home games ? As for the kids, why not send them over the hill to Gillingham as they should not be allowed to watch a final should they ? Jesus do you really think that is the answer ?
