Yer that got to be the fairest way as i was speaking to a guy today who is watching the stones for the first time with his mate on saturday.. Yes we dont want new supporters do we ? Why not make it a closed club so only those who have seen the Stones when they played at London Road, Sittingbourne or Ashford are allowed to attend home games ? As for the kids, why not send them over the hill to Gillingham as they should not be allowed to watch a final should they ? Jesus do you really think that is the answer ? Tell me, SCR, do you think it is fair that people like aylesford - who has followed this club for ages - could not get a ticket because he had to go to work while someone else bothers to show up once for the glory games. I would love everyone to come but what is fair about people ignoring us until we have a big game. Will these people show up again. 50-50 on that. Will aylesford keep turning up to run of the mill league games. You bet. A lot of clubs limit ticket sales to big all-ticket games to loyal fans. It makes good business sense and has a sense of fairness about it.

Oh dear Mr Angry...no one said anything about not wanting new supporters. But for a one-off game it would be far better for every regular whether a newbie or oldie who wants a ticket to get preference over someone who has never been before.

There is nothing wrong with rewarding loyalty that is most club policy to put loyal fans ahead of one of glory hunters IMO.. However iam keen to hear a better way for the big games if you have any ideas...

For what it's worth, and I admit it's too late to implement, but tickets sales for saturday's game should have been sold thus: 1st: Season Ticket Holders (VP, Seats & Ground) 2nd: Non-season ticket holders on production of a semi-final ticket - 1 ticket for 1 ticket, so no need for kids, wives etc to have to queue up. 3rd: General Sale to non-attendees at the semi-final game. Whilst I went to the semi, have only been to a handful of home games this season. Having said that, have been going to stones matches since the county league days. With this in mind, it's impossible to classify how loyal one person is from the next. Was no way the club knew how quickly the tickets would sell. Always easy to criticise in hindsight but, I m afraid the way they did it was the fairest and most logical way possible based on the information they had to hand.

As a young boy watching QPR we i had a membership book which was stamped or punched every time you payed at the turnstile or ticket office and for the big sell out games twenty stamps got priory over ten stamps simples..

This is a system which has been mooted over the past few days, and the club have always said they will listen to any ideas so here's hoping, as I can't see the membership scheme helping that much as this situation has ensured a high take up for that next season

Back on topic - Faversham are allowing tickets to be reserved over the phone (as of 20 minutes ago) so if someone fancies an evening by the seaside tomorrow...

People need to calm down and get behind the team come Saturday whether that be at the ground or listening to the game on Stones Live, there is never going to be a fair way to solve problems like this but I would have to agree with Ragstone that those people who came to the game on Tuesday should have had the opportunity to get tickets after ST, here's hoping the new supporters who come to the game on Saturday and like what they see and become new fans who come along to more games next season.....COYS

The only criticism i could aim at the club over the handling of ticket sales is, it should have been one per person. The fact that they started selling them early on the day means nothing as those waiting for the 7pm deadline would have been at the front of the cue anyway. As for the "Glory hunter" tag, it goes hand in hand with football across the globe either be it the 11,000 Tunbridge wells are taking to Wembley this Saturday or the 35,000 we(QPR) took to the millenium. But you can bet your bottom dollar that as the club grows like any other, where the money comes from is of little concern.

Sorry about the tone guys but it was starting to grind me hearing all these people moaning that they could not get tickets. If they could not get there then they could have asked a family member, friend, mate, work college or whatever to get them for them.
Look I know it was not perfect but this is our first season back home so things will take a while to settle down.

Who knew having too many fans was a problem?

A couple of us took the chance and drove over to Faversham in desperation for a ticket. I thought the place would be rammed with people but surprisingly not. I think Wendy discouraged many Stones who have been ringing her mobile since 8pm yesterday evening. I was given the chance to buy more than one ticket but turned it down as I'd feel guilty if I prevented another fan from going who had bothered to queue.
