Expand the ground for a game that may not have happened? Owners have spent 3 million, fans have raised money for the new ground over the last 15 years or so. The ground has been big enough for this season bar one game. The capacity was for higher but health and safety stopped that and it was that.

They should of thought about this months ago and sorted a plan out! Erm, who says they didn't? Unfortunately you can't please everyone though, and sadly there were always going to be some that missed out

There were always going to be some that were disappointed. I'm working and unable to queue up; tough. Few predicted the demand this season would be above 1000, and a few months ago we were all ecstatic just to be home. I would like to see the capacity rise to a comfortable 3000, but not at the expense of long term financial difficulty.

I was disappointed once back in oct 08 when we got. 1800 odd for Wimbledon at sittingbourne in the f a cup! Only to wait another 4 yrs for them to return to another game whilst its back on there doorsteps! So sorry if only loyal old fans have missed out! Everyone else I'm not but it pays to have a season tckt!

It was amazing how quickly the tickets went tonight. The main difference between the sales for Tuesday night's match and Saturday's was in my opinion due to the ticket requests for under 16's. Tuesday night there were a few but the demand for Saturday was much greater and is perhaps the reason why some regulars may have missed out and why some people appear to have got more than one ticket each!
There have been huge unknowns for the club to deal with this season. No-one knew what level of support there would be after all those previous nomadic seasons with support ranging from 200-400. Those at the club have had an almost vertical learning curve this season!
There is no easy way to manage ticket sales such as this. A membership scheme is not the answer to this problem as people may join but not attend matches, vouchers in the programme would not necessarily work as not everyone buys a programme, although it may boost programme sales (for the occasions when they do not sell out) so only a loyalty card type system where you get a stamp at each home match you attend would be fair for those that are not season ticket holders but regularly attend games.
However, let's hope that those who have got tickets get behind the team and make the stadium buzz!
Come on You Stones!!

Woo hoo got mine and I can't bloody wait, feel gutted for those who can't make it, and the strictly 1 ticket per person rule was bent a little bit...

Sadly you will never stop this sort of thing, i really feel for the people that missed out and just hope the majority of the 'one-offs' come again next season. I do hope that most of the oldies from the sittingbourne, Ashford and London road did get theirs. As for the tickets I took my daughters with me to get theirs, unfortunately it did appear some people had dragged anyone with them just to get an extra ticket (this was according to my eldest) but as she constantly moans that it was better a sittingbourne she doesnt count.

I feel for those who didn't get tickets and it is a massive shame so many missed out but doesn't this prove just how right it was to make the game on Saturday all ticket?
The club should be commended for creating such a "match day experience" that demand has far outweighed supply.
It certainly hasn't ever been the intention of the club to let people down but given the shotrt time frame between games the logistics must have been a nightmare.
There will surely be a huge number of people trying to watch from the river bank, maybe the club coud supply a bar in the car park? .....no, that is not a good idea

If it's anything like tuesday night they had the car park gates shut and security chappie on the pedestrian gate. I saw no one sneaking in as does sometimes happen.

Personally, I'm getting kind of used to missing the bigger games down the years because of work, holidays etc etc. I missed the last day win at Sevenoaks, the last day 0-0 at Ramsgate and I'm sure we had a last day one at Deal that I couldn't attend. The fact that the game against Cambridge was all-ticket wasn't something you could discover in London, where I was living, until it was too late. Never saw us play Wimbledon in the cup, had ticket for the Watford away game and was ill, missed Sheff U, Darlington and Gillingham away.
However, I shall take solace in the fact that life is running much more sweetly now than at any time in the last ten years and I have bigger fish to fry than the play-off final.
Hope all those that have a ticket enjoy it and if any long-standing fans don't I hope any tickets that are not required find their way to you.

I agree, Heathside (without the namecalling). It would be nice if aylesford could be the recipient of said ticket, as I believe he couldn't get one due to being at work.
