Too many journeymen players, no connection to the club, the town or the fans, most perhaps there for the wrong £reasons
Mangles 8 places above us. FFS!
Watching our team has not been enjoyable for at least 6 years now, cup runs not withstanding, a club with this level of loyal support deserves better

It’s a shame you l don’t enjoy watching anymore. I think the more you move up the pyramid the less you’ll get the players with connection to the town.

First time watching the stones this season. Dire ! Rondos in the warm up yet lump it forward aimlessly throughout the game to a striker who’s 5 foot 7. Honestly don’t get it. Spend hundreds of thousands on a new pitch and launch it constantly in the air. Surely the players can’t enjoy ‘playing’ that way. I certainly dont enjoy watching it.

Look, I enjoy and appreciate the comments of most who post on here, yourself included, please, I’m not having a pop, but when you said earlier about the quality of Mo Faal, I’m afraid that’s done me in, quite how he’s ended up at Crawley is just crackers, the bloke was 6 1/2 feet of utter uselessness, he had no touch, no balance, no ball control, I mean he was awful, how he even made it into a Havant & Waterlooneyville starting XI is beyond me. That we should be missing a player of his ‘quality’ says a great deal about our current squad’s quality

As bad as we were yesterday I genuinely believe it won't take much to get it right. The player traits are there, they just don't know what to do at the moment and are clearly getting nothing from the 'management team'.
For me the midfield is the problem. Get forward thinking ball playing midfielders and the supply to the forwards will improve, the long balls will be reduced, and the movement of the ball will be quicker and more accurate. Bivesh offers nothing. Corne is a shadow of his former self and doesn't drive with the ball anymore.
Higgs looked good against St Albans but who knows how long he is out for. George will never reveal to the fans player injury returns. Without Higgs we have Corne, Bivesh, Krasniqi, and Court. None of them are good enough to control a game.

Main problem for me is that I find the football so boring.

I think the town connection missive has zero relevance. Same applies if you watch Snodland, Bearsted or Lordswood. The managers just get on with recruiting the best bunch of players they can and tries to get them playing as well as they can. Where they were born, went to school, or where they work doesn't matter a jot.

With Higgs & Sam Bone (who should still be a Stones player) in central midfield it would be a different side.

Blindingly obvious, but the team has gone backwards from last season.. Defence is solid enough but the midfield is clearly less strong physically, lacking the ability to impose itself on the opposition and woefully lacking in creative passing and movement. Forwards are feeding of scraps but show little sign of any abilities to take on and beat defenders. Goal shy would be an understatement. Can the current team turn it around ? Glad it's George's problem and not mine.

If BW score early and decide they want to do a proper job on us, I fear it could get messy on Saturday, because heads will drop.

Having not seen a game yet i cannot really comment on our performances but after all the talk of this team going all out for promotion I find it absurdly laughable that we cannot even manage a shot on goal let alone winning a game. At the start of the season I expected us to sit comfortably in the top 7 all season so to lie 16th after 5 games is nothing short of pathetic. There are probably many teams that are laughing at us ,i know Tonbridge definitely are and I don't like our club being ridiculed. I have to believe that good players do not become bad players overnight and so the problem must lie with the management or seemingly lack of it. I,like everyone else, think the world of George but I think he has lost the plot and no amount of computer analysis is going to change our fortunes and he needs to get back to basics and getting our highly paid players playing football. A major problem are injuries and I have to ask why so many so early. Is George pushing them too hard on a 3G surface that we know is unforgiving on muscles and bones or are we not carrying out proper medicals before signing these crocks. Boreham Wood will tonk us on Saturday and send a message to other clubs that our defence can be got at. Worrying times for one and all.

Saturday will be my first Maidstone game of the season so perhaps I'll bring a change in fortunes then again i only saw 5 games last season and we were terrible in all of them.

Well...
Sitting here in 34 degrees, depressed - having just watched the 'highlights'.
OK, highlights these days are next to useless, as they are too brief to give any real idea of the game, but, all the same... We could have played on until Christmas and still not scored.
I hear what people say about the problem being in the midfield, and most commentators on here know much more about football than I do. But what I actually see - live and on video - is 'strikers' being absolutely unable to score goals.
Maybe they are getting poor service, but, when they do get the ball, they f**k up EVERY time. It may be stating the bleedin' obvious, but - can't score, can't win. And one point per game average isn't just not enough to get in the playoffs, it's relegation form.
