In my 7/8 years of watching the stones, I've never seen such a bad home performance, that was actually horrific Surely the Wheeler games were worse Atleast we were able to create chances, back then, I used to be able to take positives out of losses, i just can't today, the football is all wrong, the team aren't a good unit.

Spot on Rockstar enough of these insipid interviews that tell us nothing and insults the supporters, that at least would be a start ! m Just listened to George. It’s only five games in and it’s up to him to make individuals play like a team is his response. Great. I thought preseason games were supposed to do that. I thought good player recruitment did that. It’s five competitive games with points at stake in front of paying fans who are being given rubbish. He may have apologised for berating upset fans but what about apologising for not giving the performances our club deserves? This does feel more like his first NL games in charge than last year-but this time it’s with his recruits. Come on George you seem to be harsh enough with poor performing players so don’t be surprised that you are now being measured similarly.

Surely the Wheeler games were worse Wheeler games were the only ones where I was remotely tempted to boo my team, except for one individual signing more recently who I started meowing at. The transition of this forum to the bastion of sensibility, in contrast with the Stones facebook group, has been rather sudden! Over there, an admin can personally abuse people who dare to suggest that booing your team isn’t helpful. One post on the FB group hit the nail on the head, ragarding tatics: " The definition of madness is to keep doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome."

Will say though, it's looking to be another Saunders in Saunders out situation with the fanbase.
Personally, I hate being doom and gloom but even I can admit when something isnt working, thanks for the cup run but I just don't see elokobi as a good manager, good motivator and coach yes, but when it comes to picking the team and picking tactics, absolutely no clue, and I love the man but if something doesn't change soon

Booing your team isn’t helpful. It was a tiny minority of Genco meatheads. You’ll be met by a foray of free speech references if you point that out.

What’s happened to the much vaunted team spirit. Sadly lacking in the home games I’ve seen this season. We look like a bunch of strangers who don’t trust each other.

Well they work hard enough, just not well enough together. Another below par effort, lack of quick thinking, lacking quick passing and not much if any ability to get past opponents. Capable enough at the back, very average in midfield and woeful up front. All in all pretty dull so far and not really worth the admission money. Well short of expectations. It can only get better.

Team spirit and confidence can be confused.

Would you really feel better if George apologised for the team performance ? Well even if that helps you fair enough, but it sure ain't going to help anybody else. The team has got to improve, nothing much is happening, going forward. First bit of pressure for George to deal with really. A couple of back to back wins and it blows over soon enough A couple more defeats and ---- NO, don't let's even go there !

Yes I would feel better if he apologised as it would show that he cared about serving up dross uninteresting football to paying fans who expect, and deserve, better. Everything else I totally agree with you on. Are the players too scared of the wrath of George to take chances and try and be creative? I hope not. Five more games like this and we will be well in the relegation zone and that would NOT be good.

Is Boreham Wood away now a must win game?

Yea, it would be bad if performances don't improve but football can surprise you. For myself I'm not into this apology thing for losing a game of football. The team is not so bad that we are going to lose 0-5 anytime soon, but any single mistake at the back is tantamount to match over at the moment. Hopefully George can turn things around soon enough
