We have to remember that we started this season with the trauma of our horrific crash out of the NL fresh in our minds, and with an unproven new manager whose record for the brief time he'd been with us was terrible. And with some big name clubs determined to go back up asap, and several smaller clubs moneyed up for promotion. As we licked our wounds, most of us were just looking forward to a season where home games wouldn't be segregated and we could enjoy our football once again, and maybe have - that constant of smaller clubs - a good cup run. To say what we actually got far exceeded that, is a huge understatement. So absolutely no complaints about this season, despite how it ended. And I'm already looking forward to August. What can George do in his second season?! Let Worthing (or Braintree - I can't believe I'm writing this!) have all the trauma of the NL (be careful what you wish for, Worthing fans!), while we settle back for a stress-free summer and look forward to another enjoyable season in the NS. Absolutely. A lack of exponential growth does not equate to failure, this will be our first full season staying in the same division for years (not counting covid seasons for obvious reasons) - consolidation isn’t a bad thing.

With Yovil out the picture being replaced with Boringwood and Dorking and with the healthier budget next year we have to be contenders for the title. Giving the away team part of the Town End would be so good for the home supporters. I wonder if we have to offer an amount of seating to away fans hence why it’s not been possible up till now? Could we not put a three or four rows in the extended section of the town end to accommodate this and leave the section behind the goal for standing. We already have toilets food and turnstiles there. It was great when Hampton came down with no segregation.
With Dartford gone and the lack of support from Boringwood and Dorking is giving up a 3rd of the Genco do we even need segregation next season.

Ipswich 1 Maidstone 2...you'll never read a scoreline like that again. Simply my favourite season for that one game!

I'll add that I probably watch the goals at Ipswich once a week. I can still feel the excitement as that ball gets played across to Lamar

I started supporting in 1966 (pre-World Cup) at 16, I’m now 75, and this has to be the best season of my life due to the cup run, so much more exciting than all those promotions!

Assuming no sensible solution - we need something that can be put in place quickly and easily, with the default being, no barrier, no segregation. I'm sick and tired of looking at the ruddy barrier every game.

Incidentally, did anyone else notice that, according to Worthing's programme, we play in "Sky Blue & White" and are nicknamed "the Seagulls"?!
Come on you SEAGULLS!!
Oh, and while I'm at it, the highlights video is crap. Who the hell produced that?

Oh, and while I'm at it, the highlights video is crap. Who the hell produced that? Worthing I thought so. Utter crap - especially the replays. I am still none the wiser re the penalty (and our claim for one). Amazed that that amateur effort is thought to be worth broadcasting.

Alan Dowson as usual blaming everyone but himself. Dartford fans couldn’t wait to see him sacked.
