This will be tough. A team who play on the front foot, goals from everywhere, two prolific strikers, could be a classic.

It will certainly be an interesting exercise in different approaches to the game!
On our day, we're more than capable of defeating Worthing. But, if they get the first goal (which is likely), we are going to have to really work to win it. If they get two without reply (also quite likely, I'm afraid), then we are sunk.
But if we can score first or contain them until they fade a bit, then I think it's ours. They score a lot of goals, but I think we have more depth and determination, which might be what ultimately counts.
As I said elsewhere, this is effectively the playoff final - whoever wins this will go up.

tinyurl.com/4xv9d8atTicketing info… seems like it’ll be a mad online scramble for season ticket holders then… Undertones of the club not being best pleased with this arrangement from the statement. Paper tickets is a far safer way to do it, imo

The statement mentions a 15% away allocation, which implies around 450-500 tickets

Paper tickets is a far safer way to do it, imo I reckon they've written it with an undertone of unhappiness but are actually glad as it takes a lot of hassle away from them and also means they cannot be blamed (right or wrong) for the arrangements.

Paper tickets is a far safer way to do it, imo If it's online sales only how are they going to prioritise season tickets? Also how are they going to stop Worthing fans buying them? Piss poor from Worthing There is plenty of time for tickets to be printed and a courier to deliver them to the Gallagher.

Due to the scheduling of National League play-off fixtures, there is little or no opportunity to offer physical ticketing and therefore, as directed by Worthing FC, this will be an all-ticket fixture and tickets will be sold only via Worthing’s Ticketpass portal. We recognise that some season ticket holders and supporters do not have the technology available to them but unfortunately this is beyond our control. Also, as the away club, there is a restricted ticket allocation of approximately 15% of Woodside Road’s capacity, as per league rules. The home allocation has already sold out, so there wasn’t an opportunity to negotiate a higher amount. We are only too aware that this small percentage will not satisfy the demands of our supporters, especially with the incredible support shown in vast numbers during league and FA Cup matches. There is no easy solution to prioritising ticket sales across such a small allocation and therefore season ticket holders will get priority but in reality what’s available will only serve about a third of those. An update on sales times will be provided later today. The club are planning to screen the match on the big screen in the Spitfire Lounge. More details will be announced soon. The match will also be available to stream on National League TV. For more information, visit www.nationalleaguetv.com.

Well at least the non-ST holders and distant fans will be happy this time... (or not!)
I know it's short notice for us, but Worthing have known they are staging this game for some time - easily enough to have arrangements in place and generic tickets ready, and both us and Aveley briefed and ready to go.
It's almost as if they don't care...

The play-offs, at least from semi-final stage should be at a neutral ground, with attendance 50-50. The current arrangement gives a huge advantage to one side.
I'd imagine that both sides could probably sell at least 2,000+ tickets each, so this could have been a really good game.
The current arrangement is OK at IP (etc) level, but not at one step away from NL. Yet again we see the NL only bothering about the top tier...

X Quite right. No point finishing second if you can’t play semi/final at home. As a traditionalist it’s bad enough we have playoffs without stripping home advantage from teams that finish higher. And yes I know it adds excitement to the end of season and that we’ve already benefited from it twice, but in terms of natural justice it’s just wrong.

It was wrong in terms of natural justice when teams who had nothing to play for by mid March would roll over for teams who still had something to play for.

I think the play off rules are bang on.
Bollocks to talk about natural justice, something we could all argue about till the end of time.
The rules are fair and transparent. Everybody knows what they are playing for with no nasty surprises.
Shame about the 15% rule but as a well supported club, we have to live with it.
Those Worthing tickets will be as rare as Daveu buying a round in the Spitfire.

Worthing's Woodside Road ground has a capacity of only 3,250, according to Wikipedia (so it must be correct...).
15% of that is just shy of 500. So, not too bad, under the circumstances (more, or less, what we offered Aveley?). But far less than the number of ST holders (about half?).
So, good chance of getting tickets if you're a ST holder. None if you're not.
I'm not happy about that, even as a ST holder, but I can't see what else the club can do, short of running some sort of lottery.
