Reminiscent of the Ebbsfleet tie, when it was at their ground and under their Rules- and Reg was in the seat
There was mooted a questionnaire for all those attending who were not ST holders- But we got their in the end and some managed to get in as Northfleet fans, then came and joined us after the pen being saved...
So, we twitch till 18:00...

Well having rearranged stuff on Sunday, I'm now resigned to not going. Oh well.
Surely I should get first dibs. After all I supported Worthing's finances when all those season ticket holders couldn't be bothered earlier in the season (that's their usual argument in reverse isn't it?)

Worthing's Woodside Road ground has a capacity of only 3,250, according to Wikipedia (so it must be correct...). 15% of that is just shy of 500. So, not too bad, under the circumstances (more, or less, what we offered Aveley?). But far less than the number of ST holders (about half?). So, good chance of getting tickets if you're a ST holder. None if you're not. I'm not happy about that, even as a ST holder, but I can't see what else the club can do, short of running some sort of lottery. Still awaiting how they are going to prioritize season tickets if they are sold via Worthing's ticketing portal. I cannot see how it is going to be done. Obvious answer to me would have been to print tickets and deliver by courier to the Gallagher. The problem is those running the National leagues are not managing them imo so there is no pressure on Worthing to do so. |

Well it is what it is. Will apply for a ticket, but if I can’t get one so be it. It’s not as if Stones fans will be stuck on a large half empty terrace. Let’s not get all Bertie Big Bollox like some of the fans who have visited us. There’s always NLTV.

As a non STH I should have no chance as the club says it is prioritising them.
But how ?

ST holders all got an email this afternoon explaining the process. We will get another at 6 giving us the link to buy tickets on Worthing's system. I've no idea what will happen just after 6 - will their system crash, will we all manage to get in and actually buy a ticket? It's not the most straightforward process and some (eg Dave) have had problems with it. I'd much rather ST holders had (say) this afternoon to go down to the club to buy their tickets before they go on general sale. But then that suits me as I live locally, whereas this approach is fairer for all holders. But the end result would have been the same, whichever way - no tickets for anyone else. Ultimately, no system is really going to be fair. The problem is far too few tickets available, and the only answer to that is to use neutral grounds, with a 50-50 share. But, this is the NLS, so no one gives a f**k. Except fans, of course... |

Well, that all seemed to work- Just got to get there and get parked somewhere as 80 cars behind the church will soon fill. Remember the fun at Eastbourne the other week? -, parked in the streets- never good for those who live there.
