Will the new riverside stand be built above the dugout level?.If not there’s going to be a lot of seats with obstructed views with it only being 4 seats deep.

Judging by some of the posts on the AFCW forum, they seem rather underwhelmed with Joe signing.Possibly they are judging him by what they might have seen from him at Southend,Cambridge etc,but we’ve seen over the last year Joe develop into a far better player than the one that arrived last season.

Sadly this sounds like it might be true.I assume Joe would have had the final choice whether to stay or leave seeing it’s a buyout clause that’s been reached?

Looking forward to this one.A genuine chance of turning this season into a great one if we went all the way to the final.Lets all get over last night and get ourselves up for this match.

The most worrying aspect of this dire home form is the drop in attendances. This fixture would have attracted 3,000 if we were showing any kind of form at the Gallagher, but this seasons home form is like last season eg it’s relegation stuff. Some people have had enough and it’s going to take a long time to get them back through the turnstiles. The gap between us and the last relegation spot is going to be down to single figures pretty soon and the way i see it is we might well be OK but it’s not behold the realms of possibility we could find ourselves in a bit of a scrap if we don’t pick up really soon. Its certainly looking like we could finish lower than last season though. My personal opinion of how we find ourselves in this position is Jay’s recruitment of players last summer. He was looking for a strong squad with strength in depth, but what’s happened is that most have either disappointed or left the club and Jay finds himself having to pick off form players because he has no choice as the squad is quite weak in depth.

I recall Stones having an away match postponed in the KCL (might have been Moonshot) because a dead body was found on the pitch.

36 out of the list but i’d argue that some of them were that pivotal.A mention for us winning the Kent Junior Cup final against Ramsgate Albion at Canterbury.I think winning that moved us up to intermediate status at the time.

According to a history of the Stones written by a fanzine editor that was neither Bryan, Fred or myself this was the year we reached the final. Did we play Yeovil in the final at Wembley in this dream M.G had?

I was at both games and the first match was tarnished by the Burton fans singing through the minutes silence.Maybe they didn’t hear Mick Mercer’s announcement or they were just a bunch of knuckle dragging c**** we will never know.As for the replay,i recall Terry Sullivan had a perfectly good goal disallowed and the referee was absolutely biased towards the home side. The trouble afterwards was pretty vicious and one fan in particular took a very bad beating. The opinion on the way back was our singing of ‘sign on,sign on with a pen in your hand’ etc didn’t help matters on the day one of Burtons biggest brewery’s made some of the knuckle dragging c**** redundant.
