I have just spoken to my cousin Danny who lives in Dunston,Gateshead and he informs me that the local media are reporting that Gateshead, like Aldershot, are down to the bare bones with illness and injuries and are struggling to put a team together for Saturday's game. This is unconfirmed but might just be the extra piece of luck we need at the momemt. I think they also have a transfer embargo in place, though I may have dreamt that, which means they cannot sign players as cover.

No I have given up the weed til the new year although Malcolm is hooked and will squawk all night without it and it's the only thing stopping him from attacking the rabbit ๐จโ๐๐จโ๐๐จโ๐๐จโ๐๐จโ๐f**king furry fuckface๐จโ๐๐จโ๐๐จโ๐๐จโ๐๐จโ๐

They were in some sort of financial trouble last year, so perhaps the transfer embargo bit could be correct? Although I thought they had new ownners with money to spend.
As for the 'Aldershot' bit - how many times have we heard that opposition sides are down to bear bones, only to have a fighting fit 11 turn up? Oldest trick in the book!

Without in any way casting aspertions on a member of Clan Sword, of course.

Judging by the report on Kent online we're pretty much down to the bare bones as well with several players playing through illness last night, which makes the performance over 120 minutes all the more impressive.

KM reports are all positive this week, which contrasts somewhat with seven days ago. Let's hope Jake Cassidy can sign off in the best possible way, with everything coming together well on the day. A couple of goals and a last minute sub for us to say thank you. Having not won at home in the league since August, still a case of hope over expectation, with H doing his best to talk things up. Maybe, just maybe, this time will be different? COYS! Please. Pretty please. Extract the digits FFS - it's Christmas and home fans deserve a present!

Can't see anything other than a 5-1 victory and Sir Harry being carried to changing rooms on supporters shoulders.

Further news from wor Danny in Gateshaed and the new foreign owners ate appealing to the powers that be to have the transfer embargo lifted in time for the January sales. There is also speculation that should South Shields be promoted again that they may ground share at the International stadium until such time as their own ground can be improved and trust me it needs improving.

That would be a return to the past, 2 clubs who are very closely linked, previous incarnations of each club have in their times been called Gateshead and also South Shields I only hope should it happen that it is just a ground share as i would hate to see South Shields swallowed up in another merger of the two. I was born in Gates head but my northern affinities lye with the toon and the mighty Whitley Bay and I would hate it if South Shields lost their identity to the Gates.
