Very interesting tonight to hear about the new stand being considered at the Springfield End. 800 seats, 400 standing. What's everyone's thoughts? Personally think its a really positive step.

Any pic plans? They can segregate at that end and offer seats too. Such decorum. Must be some size?

Sounds like we could end up with something similar to Kingstonian's (sorry AFC Wimbledon's) layout for those who've been, interesting that extending the existing stand was considered expensive.

Wondering, think it would be obvious to take the sheds at springers end to the town end? The odd 1 on concrete pads and lowered down next to main stand. Can be done, I've priced it in my head.

Why? Full of hooligans? Shame to waste the stands, although they could sell them on to whoever. Thought the townend was gona be done 1st.

The stand at the springfield end is the one paid for from supporters fundraising, hense the BTSH plaque. It could be moved to the town end without too much upheaval.

Yes, 800 seats and 400 standing - but no actual terracing in front of the seats; the standing would merely be along the existing pitch perimeter fence on flat ground!
This point was contested by a few supporters after the meeting last night and Bill has promised to look into it.
As for moving the existing terracing elsewhere, the reply from the Directors was an emphatic 'can't be done'. River side is a no-no due to the sewer pipe, Town End cannot accomodate them and too expensive to place them alongside the main stand.

A reduction of terracing will greatly diminish an already poor viewing experience
