Hard core of 900... Don't think so. Would assume there would be the hard core plus some extra for a cup semi final where as there was only 600 odd. Same old faces at the supporters meeting too.

I keep reading on here about BTSH or Bring The Stones Home and a so called lack of fundraising these days. In correction, you now have a supporters club, imaginativly entitled Independant Maidstone United Supporters Club or IMUSC whose aim is to raise funds towards supporter related improvements to the football club. Bucket collections have been denied to IMUSC as all monies raised within the Gallagher are for the football club direct. Should you wish to help IMUSC with said fundraising this can be acheived by either joining or supporting the fundraising initiatives that are ongoing such as the quiz nights, sponsor a goal and end of season raffle. Plus you get to join in with the other socialing activities like a day trip to Le Touquet in France or Southend. Visit the IMUSC website to learn more www.imusc.co.uk

Much as we might like the idea of fans funding ground expansion, the amount we can raise is going to be a fraction of what is required. The club offered local business the chance to get involved and only Gallaghers stumped up money. The kind of development required for Conference and beyond is likely to be millions, and will almost certainly be raised by commercial loans. We can still help by sponsorship, buying merchandise, and the simple act of turning up regularly to increase cashflow. But raising hundreds (or even tens) of thousands of pounds? I just don't see it happening. The days of collection buckets are behind us, and that is a good thing.

I just don't see it happening. The days of collection buckets are behind us, and that is a good thing. Sorry have to disagree While its a good thing we no longer have to scratch around in the vain and desperate hope of coming home, we have every opportunity to raise enough to do something like treble what was achieved from the 300-400 from the sittingbourne days. We now have a gate 4 times larger and while some may not be ready to part with more cash Id say if a clear target/aim was identified that would benefit the club then i believe a lot would still donate. For me something like a target of £150,000 to fund or contribute towards relocating the pipes on the (river)west side and moving the existing springfield terraces to that side would seem an obvious place to start. The amount required for this would need to be confirmed as figures between 50,000 - 250,000 have been suggested. If we started as soon as possible we could potentially reach the target in two seasons. This is only £50.00 per supporter per season on average. If this doesnt fit with the clubs plans Im sure it could be used to improve the south stand significantly.

Perhaps you could ask Headstone to be your PR spokesman ?. Nothing like alienating sections of the fan base, and thinking you brought the club home!. Have a day off.

The hardcore are us county league boys that turned up when there seemed no hope whatsoever. The newbie jonny-cum-latelys of the Sittingbourne days were just peope junping on the bandwagon. As for the new newbie lot....tsssk

I posted my response whilst travelling on the train and when I looked again it had been posted 4 times, so I thought to stop the forum police I decided i would delete 3 of the posts, so imagine my surprise when I read the forum again and they have all gone, I blame the technology, in regards to your post I reckon we have a hardcore support of about 900 900? I doubt it very much
