Not much confidence for these games.

A very dull first half.

Hmmm. A day of surprises so far...
First, I switched on Stones Live at 2:40 to catch the match preview - only to discover that we were already into the second half!!
Then there's a record gate at Tonbridge - and we are winning! But the weirdest bit of all is that (according to FWP) we have Michael Phillips on the bench!
I think I'm going back to bed, this is all clearly a fever dream...

Oh joy. Cracking goal from Tonbridge makes it 1-1 at the death, followed by handbags and cards on the bench...
Brilliant.

Point was fair. If anyone deserved to win it was us as the away side.
We have reverted to our early season pattern of scoring one and stopping to play. We aren’t good enough defensively for that.
Both sides looked average. It’s a very average league.

So, what the f**k was all that about after they scored? Great goal, but they did not deserve it over the game as a whole, but if you don't put the game to bed, then that is what happens. Still, we played so much better than Saturday, so not all bad by any means. Be interesting to know how/why it all kicked off any why Brown (I think) got a red card? All hidden by the dugout.

Getting a card from the bench is something, but getting one while you're the only one still sitting down (according to SL) is quite an achievement! But, at least Gills lost - and Fleet are losing...

Those two losing doesn’t cheer me up.
Was a good goal to be fair.

Bit of an odd kmonline report which suggest the match was even which it wasnt. Stones dominated possession for best part of 80 minutes, created a few half chances, but Tonbridge defended well. Stones lacked a cutting edge in and around the penalty box. Never really looked like scoring more than one, which was one more than Tonbridge. Until a fantastic last minute volley from just outside the box. Tonbridge will feel much happier to secure a point. Decent performance from Stones, but just lacking a shade in the final third.

Wow, very surprised to read others thoughts on the game: I thought we were average in the first half and beyond bad in the 2nd. We created absolutely nothing in the 2nd half, looked void of ideas, had nothing in the final third, didn't get anything going from midfield and it looked inevitable we were going to concede if we didnt put the sword to them and go for the 2nd. Tonbridge more than deserved a point.
A wonder goal got them a point but we were our own worst enemies. Tough watch. Unless Matt Rush scores every week, I really can't see where the goals are going to come from.

Only watched on NLTV, but if we were poor, what about Tonbridge? Until the last few minutes, they barely threatened, because we controlled midfield. Ok, we did bugger all with it, but Tonbridge never looked like scoring either. If there is anything to take from the last few games, it is we need to score more when on top, because we are always vulnerable from poor clearances. However, post Levi, we are clearly short (in more ways than one) up front and unless Team George can find a few goals from midfielders, then the playoff is the most we can hope for this season. Not rocket science (and with the cup run) about as much as most of us hoped for. We aren't ready for a NLP return anyway. Overall, the NLS is a very mediocre league this season, so fear there are plenty more games like this before the end of the season.

I always find boxing day games, when a load of neutrals who could be converted into semi regular fans turn up, are always shocking affairs. I can't remember the last decent boxing day game I went to was.

Holysmoke sounds like he has a lousy xmas.
Tbf it was a decent match with Stones enjoying possession and bossing midfield. Around 9 corners to Tonbridge's 2. Only created half chances rather than clear cut stuff, but you would never imagine Tonbridge were the home team. They seemed content to play for a point from the start and didn't deserve anything out of the game. But if you are going to drop points best it be to a great strike. Stones looked better than of late.

Do we rehearse corners in training?
