Agreed that holysmoke watched a different game. Tonbridge deserved nothing for 90 minutes, so lacking in ambition for a home side. Funny enough I didnt feel too bad about the result because the surprise goal they did score was such a hum-dinger.

Well I'll have to disagree with those who say we were good,we wasn't. We were the better of two very average bordering on poor sides. The game was duller than dull with their equaliser the only bright spot and if Covalan hadn't have wasted so much time they may not have scored it. We done enough to earn a point but would not have deserved three, though we'd have taken them.On another day Greenidge would have had an early bath this ref was so poor he missed a golden opportunity to issue 2 yellows and a red to him. I've since heard that his car was bricked after the game ,Angel's fans I assume.I don't think Tonbridge will play as bad on New Year's Day so we will need to improve greatly to earn any points.

Raphe’s second yellow a case of mistaken identity. Outrageous that the lino claimed he could see his number when he had a coat on. Also outrageous that when this was pointed out to the ref he simply said you can appeal, demonstrating a stunning ignorance of the laws of the game. So Raphe misses the Stevenage game for something he didn’t do, especially considering the harshness of the first yellow.

No yellow card can be appealed, not even one leading to a red. Mistaken identity is no different to any other incorrect decision in that respect. Had it been a straight red, which I initially thought, we could have appealed it.

We lack (among other things) a player who can excite the crowd, a winger who can take on defenders and can make or score a goal. At present we are a hardworking team but without a flair player. Someone in the mould of Luque, Zavron Hines or Blair Turgott, a player who gets fans on their feet with an expectation they will make something happen. I was hopeful that S W-Smith might be that player but although he is good in flashes he is not that player. With players leaving or gone I would expect at least 4 new signings in January and hope that my exciting player is one of them.

In the pre-seasons last season I thought Sol might be that player, but he never quite seems able to make that step up to being more than NS average. In my opinion - and I know many won't agree - the nearest we've had to it this season is Aransibia. I fear loaning him out will turn out to be a hasty mistake. Early on in the season Ezennolim more or less filled that role, but he doesn't seem the same since he's come back from injury (although if they keep taking him off, we might never know...).

I thought I'd log on to see the fall out It was a terrible game, one good goal one bad goal, the idea anyone outplayed anyone, or it was a decent performance from either side , is absolute bollocks Let's hope for better on Monday And if everyone could behave, no chucking coins please, that would be lovely.

In a turn around by the club the game is not now all ticket and Maidstone fans will be able to pay at the gate. Good decision as I am sure Swordy will agree. Tonbridge fans can only buy on line so expect those who turn up on the day to be in the Maidstone end.

Certainly a terrible game for Tonbridge. For the home side, in a local derby, to register just one shot on goal, from effectively the last kick of the match, is poor. Maidstone weren't great, but to pretty much control almost all of the game as the away side is, for me, still a decent performance, especially after previous efforts. Sometimes, it is what you have to do. We can but hope both sides decide to have a real go on Monday, though note that Jay has already got in two excuses about the pitch, namely it's size and condition.

Sounds to me like take up on tickets has been slow and the club are worried the attendance will be lower than that at Longmead.
