Saturday is my long awaited debut for watching the Stones this season and I'm looking forward to it immensely. The conditions may play a part as it is expected to be around 30 °c,86°f and will test the fitness of the players, being full time' should' give us the edge but that doesn't always happen . The bookies have Chips as 11/8 faves and we are 13/8 so there's not a lot in it. The draw is 11/5.

Form favours us - just:
Our last 4 away: 2 2 0 - 7 5 +2 8pts Their last 4 home: 2 1 1 - 7 6 +1 7pts
But we're likely to still be a couple of key players short, and, from what I saw Tuesday, we won't be banging too many goals in.
So, a draw for me, with a win/loss either way depending on weather/ref/luck/cards/injuries/Martians...
Basically, f**k knows, but I'm not expecting too much.

Very much the mantra for the last couple of years - otherwise it ends up disappointing far too often! 3-3 v Taunton not too shabby. Beat Slough 2-1, same as us and 0-0 at Braintree. Lost 1-2 to Tonbridge and likewise Torquay. Yet 4-2 at Havant and beat Aveley 1-0 on first day of season. All depends on which team turns up on the day, by the look of it.

Not going to guess the score but we're concede guaranteed, doesn't ex stone Matt McClure play for them now?

Not going to guess the score but we're concede guaranteed, doesn't ex stone Matt McClure play for them now? Not according to Wikipedia. Although they do have a player who has (almost) the same name as my youngest - which was a strange moment for me (has he been moonlighting??). But, sadly, Chips have no player called Fish... However, they do have the most 'English' squad I've seen in years. Only a couple of other nationalities (and they're Welsh, so they don't really count), and all with very 'English' names. We're going to seem like some urban London team to their fans!

I've just had to look Wiltshire up!
Strange place - basically Stonehenge, a cathedral with a phalically tall spire, and a lot of fields. It doesn't even include Swindon any more (although that isn't necessarily a bad thing).

And Trowbridge! Anyone remember them and their brief stay in the Conference in the days of yore?

Well I passed through Swindon in late July and it was still in Wiltshire ,it hasn't moved since

Probably with much the same reaction from the rest of the county!

02.52 and I find myself getting strangely excited at the prospect of my first game since Maidenhead away last season. I think after Needham Market last season I fell out of love with the game and really didn't miss it,our results and performances probably played a part in that to. Having already seen 3 other games this season I find my love slowly returning and intend to see many more this season.COYS!

But it's still in Wiltshire as there is no county of Swindon I don't want to get all hbs and daveu on this, but a Unitary Authority, such as Medway and Swindon, is legally exactly the same as a county. For instance, KCC has no right to any say in anything to do with Medway - is is effectively (and legally) another county. OK, so historically and non-legally, Medway might still be seen as part of Kent (ditto Swindon and Wiltshire), but it isn't. Any more than Bromley is part of Kent, or Romford is part of Essex.

Wikipedia says its Wiltshire so that's good enough for me.
