I don't want to get all hbs and daveu on this, but a Unitary Authority, such as Medway and Swindon, is legally exactly the same as a county. For instance, KCC has no right to any say in anything to do with Medway - is is effectively (and legally) another county. OK, so historically and non-legally, Medway might still be seen as part of Kent (ditto Swindon and Wiltshire), but it isn't. Any more than Bromley is part of Kent, or Romford is part of Essex. Wikipedia says its Wiltshire so that's good enough for me. Wikipedia also says Bobby Moore's middle name is Chelsea... |

League is still settling down to a pattern. Torquay seem to be getting the job done although my Torquay mate says they are lucky most weeks and playing poorly.
Dover, Dartford and Tonbridge struggling. Surprised at Tonbridge and Dartford. Will be rumblings of sackings soon.

League is still settling down to a pattern. Torquay seem to be getting the job done although my Torquay mate says they are lucky most weeks and playing poorly. First half we looked good,a bit of luck and we'd have been 2 up in 4 minutes.I was impressed by Corne as captain and our 11 while name escapes me looked very lively. I was just thinking that Wanjau Smith was the weak link and 5 seconds later he was inthe right spot for a cool finish. Chippenham, who I thought,were poor, even when they attacked 2nd half they dud not really trouble us. We could and should have scored 4+, but I'll take 3 points as they are today.

Sounds good - another away win, AND a clean sheet! Corne making the difference perhaps? It would be nice if we could do this at home...
Meanwhile, Slough only want to beat the team on top of the table - bringing down Aveley a peg or two.

At one stage I was seriously worried about my prediction - it looked good for 4 to us, but it didn't sound like Chippenham would get their 1!
Our form is now totally bizarre - 2nd (joint first) on away games, 17th on home games!!

At one stage I was seriously worried about my prediction - it looked good for 4 to us, but it didn't sound like Chippenham would get their 1! Our form is now totally bizarre - 2nd (joint first) on away games, 17th on home games!! Not that bizarre, some of the negativity from some "supporters" at the Gallagher probably affects the players. Couldn't make it today but the aways I've been to (Hemel and Weymouth) performances were better than our home games. |

Much as I hate the nagativity, I think it's mostly just a statistical thing, because we've only played nine games, and have played twice as many away as at home. Our home record isn't bad - WDL - 4 points from the 3 games. Our away form is better - LWDDDWW - 11 points from 6 games, but actually not that much better - 1.8 PPG, compared to 1.3 PPG. If we'd played 6 home games on that form, we'd have got 8 points. But, of course, we have no way of knowing what our form is going to be for the next three home games. I suspect it will even out over the next few months. Time will tell. |

The highlights are up. Chippenham seem to have been playing a 0-10-0 formation.
Entirely different commentary to SL too, which is odd. Better in a way, as it fits the action and no doubt saves STV a lot of work, but I much prefer the SL commentary.
