On one level, it is their money, to do what they like with. On another, it makes me question the morals of the situation, when a small minority of people have so much money to flaunt in this way, while soany others are struggling to get by. As the ditty goes - it's the same the whole world over.. Maidstone may not be perfect, but I very much prefer they way the club is run to the likes of Ebbsfleet.

There a many ways to skin a cat. The owner is obviously in it for both money and love of the club now. When the profit from this development is taken out I am sure they’ll have a sustainable club if they can generate enough cash from the new stadium. It’ll be a good resource. I can’t see the footballing side being solvent as they just can’t attract enough fans

It does seem like he is personally invested as he has propped them up for years

Maybe when they move out of the temporary one, we can buy some of it cheap for the riverside.

Madness. I don't think I've ever heard of a club building a "temporary ground". Why not just groundshare at Darts? It's not like they get huge crowds.

They'll end up ground sharing surely? The only sensible option.

Invicta chamber of commerce urges government to intervene and cancel planning permission for Northfleet Harbour redevelopment. Webfleet may not have a new ground after all.

With the government wanting millions of new homes, maybe they will be expected to build on the land allocated for the stadium as well.

Even in the NL, their average gate was under 1,700. Their only decent gate (4k+) was against Southend. Apart from that, they only cleared 2,000 one other time.

Because they have major delusions of grandeur.

To hold events there and be self sustaining I’d be amazed if the plans are overturned listening to the Kings speech today
