Hashtag United based in Pitsea Essex, look set for promotion from the Isthmian League North, to within one promotion/relegation of being in the same league as Maidstone. Pretty sure they'll have to change their name if the progress much higher. I'm sure there are rules meaning the club name must reflect where they are based. I believe it used to be that way but not sure how Romulus fc get away with it.

I’ve watched a few games over 50 years or so, but last night I saw something I’d never seen before.
My local side Hamworthy were playing a league match at Melksham, a new ground for me, a modern facility, last month it hosted a Swindon u-18 v Garuda Select (up and coming Indonesian lads, managed by Dennis Wise & Des Walker) which was broadcast live on tv in the host nation, seemingly to promote the youth game there, ironically yesterday, they had the hosting of the junior World Cup taken away from them
Anyway, I digress
The ‘Hammers’ got promoted to step 4 last season and are currently in 3rd, looking nailed on for the playoffs.
They were beaten Vase semi-finalists last year and have the longest unbeaten home league record (over 3 years) in the top 8 levels of English football.
Despite all this, they’ve managed to lose their last 2 games, 5-0 away at bottom side Cinderford on Saturday, and 4-2 away at 2nd bottom Slimbridge, a game I went to last week.
So last night, being 3-0 down at half time v the 8th placed team, it wasn’t looking good and I was tempted to head off early. It was an awful night, high winds, heavy rain, the pitch was cutting up and tempers on and off were fraying
Thank God I didn’t
Incredibly, the Hammers came out in the 2nd half like a team possessed and smashed in 5 goals in 35 minutes, to win 3-5
Never seen such a thing before, almost certainly never will again
Coincidentally, Totton went top of the table Tuesday night with a 7-0 home win, ex Stone Rendell scoring 1 of 2 hat tricks on the night

If anybody fancies a title winning party on Saturday then Snodland are at home to Meridian needing just a point to secure the title. A big crowd is expected and it's FREE to get in.

Chatham v Ramsgate 2nd v 1st is all ticket on Easter Monday, advance tickets only none available on the day. This game could potentially see a bigger crowd than the Gallagher in fact I would be very surprised if it didn't.

Herne Bay in deep trouble as chairman authorises ground and clubhouse improvements but half way through the task he resigns and leaves players and contractors unpaid. The new board are looking for new investors.

Faversham Town and Corinthians are relegated from Isthmian league South East to the South East Counties League where both clubs could struggle to make an impact next season as the standard at step 5 continues to improve. Both clubs will also be up against the Snoddies who have now won promotion in front of a crowd of 550 on Saturday.

South Shields have finally achieved promotion from the Northern Premier league to National League North but could immediately be thrown out as ground improvements that should have been finished by 31 March haven't even been started.

After guiding South Shields fc to the Northern Premier league title and promotion to the National League North manager and ex Sunderland legend Kevin Phillips has stunned the club by walking away from the managers job.

North Shields, Skelmersdale and Lymington have been demoted from step 4 to step 5 by the FA after failing ground grading criteria.

After leading the Isthmian south east division for most of the season and then blowing the playoffs Jamie Coyle has walked out in Ramsgate, very surprising move.

Mousehole & Horndean promoted to SL1S (step 4) from the Western & Wessex leagues respectively.
A round trip of 500 miles when they play each other, imagine that on a wet Tuesday night in Feb…thats like Sittingbourne going to Bridlington Town!
Feels just plain wrong that the Blazers’ can’t get their act together and create a more workable structure in the south west;
they almost managed it a few months ago, but in the end, directors of each of the respective leagues couldn’t agree a mutually acceptable compromise (turf war?)
Instead, they’ll stand by and watch clubs suffer the financial pain, or drop out mid season (Bitton) yet they (different Blazers) can still relegate the likes of Lymington from SL1S for failing to install a second turnstile or not having enough covered seats for their average gate of 139

I have always thought that with all the money the Premier league has the FA could take some of it and set up a travelling fund gor the lower leagues where, say a journey of 400 miles round trip the away club could apply to the fund for 50% of the expenses. This does not shorten the journey but would keep clubs like Bitton in business, though why I should wish that club well after providing me with one of the worst days in my football spectating days.
