Sword you obviously did not see him play when Aveley beat us this season. He was their outstanding player for mr and he is only 22. I would predict that he could be one of George's best signings. He is obviously looking to strengthen the front line and accepted that Obi and the Gillingham boy were not good enough.
Will you be there Tuesday to give an opinion AFTER you see him play?

Firstly I don't remember calling him a bad player i just pointed out that I'd never heard of him but he's done the rounds of shit Essex clubs that many of our player in recent years have done and look how bad some of them were. You are right i didnt see the Aveley game and I don't do midweek home games as I have trouble getting home afterwards. If he is any good,and I hope he is ,then someone will snap him up in January anyway. |

Well, even after today's win - we need him. We looked very light up front, especially in the first half. Pity he's cup-tied, though, we aren't going to reach the 3rd round if we get anyone half decent in the 2nd.

I see Lucas Covolan was awarded the player of the month for October.
Levi Amantchi would have been disappointed, his goals were so important for Stones during their unbeaten run.

Lucas looks a decent keeper for sure, but please don't get carried away and think about comparing him with our 'Super Hero'.

Eastbourne certainly looked a much poorer side without Worgs in goal. For me, Covolan is at least as good, probably better (especially as he is taller!).
And he scores goals as well! He very nearly got Torquay promoted in 21 - scoring in their NL play-off against Hartlepool, leveling the game in the 95th minute and taking it to pens.
The one area he falls short on, compared to Worgs, is penalties. With Worgs, you always thought there was a chance he'd save it - from what I've seen so far, you can't say that with Covolan!
