Well I think most of us are a bit odd compared to the rest of the Maidstone population. Being odd is not a bad thing for the Black & Amber army. Wear the badge with pride.

Fair point, Ebbsfleet's season finished well with 3 wins, 2 draws and a defeat. The manager gets sacked. We finished bottom of the form league, looking like we couldn't finish the season soon enough. Funny old World. Let’s face it as soon as Lovell went to Gravesend he was always going to get Managers Job wasn’t he?

SHUT UP SWORD ! Do something useful like campaigning to get Jay Saunders and Watty back into the fold Just to give it the kiss of death, us plastics ( or is it U.S. plastics?) are strongly in favor of Jay Saunders' return to the Gallagher. Not complaining about H.H, just feel that whenever we get back to football, hoping Oliver and Terry will keep the past in the past, and rehire the best man for the job.

Too true rochstone. Hak is decent bloke and we could do worse. But if Terry and Oliver want to give us supporters hope and a real boost for next season Then they need to recruit the 'one and only', our beloved Messiah (mentioning nobody by name)

BBC News - Coronavirus: How scared should we be? www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-52758024Another interesting piece from the beeb. To begin with, the government was hell bent on scaring everybody shitless and quite right too. However, to get the country moving again, they need to start helping folk manage expectations and risk taking. If, as this report suggests, one in 400 currently have the virus, then social distancing ought to minimise future spreads. Likewise comparisons like three children under 15 dieing from Covid, compared to 50 in the same period from road accidents highlights the need to be careful everywhere. At the moment, it appears that Covid 19 has weeded out the weak and vulnerable, which is more than a bit of a pisser if you fall into that category for underlying health reasons or come to that black or Asian background. Hitler would have seen it as divine intervention, allowing him to 'merely' focus on Jews rather than all the other non Aryan races as well! Thank goodness (most) world governments don't see it that way, even if you wonder about Brazil and USA at times... As for football, maybe, just maybe, as social distancing eases to allow family or small local groups to meet up, then it might be possible to allow spectators into grounds again. Indeed, this might work better in Leagues 1 and below, where many if not all grounds operate at 50% capacity or less, than the premier League grounds which are full every week. The Gallagher ought to be able to cope with 1500 through the gates, though hospitality would be challenged and things like toilets too. Some creative thinking is essential, otherwise there is little hope of lower league football for a long while yet.

We will only be safe to restart in September 2021. From what? Relegation?
Also, the 'traditional' starting month for league football in this country is August yet you appear to be inferring that it would be 'unsafe' to restart in August 2021 but fine four weeks later.
I too can pluck random dates out of the ether but I'll try and avoid doing it on a public forum

We will only be safe to restart in September 2021. Could be safe to restart in August 2020 or anytime in the next 3 years. Nobody knows for sure.

With the strong hint that 2 former Stones players could possibly be returning to the club, who could they be ? Some supporters think that shut down means hibernation, but in truth there re likely to be a few soundings being taken over the next few weeks. What will players be doing, out of contract, and with nothing else to do. If players take the initiative by sounding out the club, so much the better. Well Worgs is a firm favourite and his contract at Dover is probably up for renewal right now. It would be great to see him back and he must also be the bookies favourite. But favourites don't always win. But there is def another player being talked about too. Manny Parry has been mentioned and again he was well liked and a very decent centre back BJT is another player being touted but wages would be a problem unless he has properly settled for part-time in the future. Any more for any more ?

Full time players at national League level and below have some difficult choices coming up. Not many will be on contracts of more than a year or two and those that are out of contract will be wondering who can afford them. Add in the fact that unemployment is probably going to rise and even being part time might be a challenge for some, especially if they don't have desirable alternative skills as back up. In the NLS, the ideal former players would be the likes of Tom Mills and Alex Flisher (the fit version) - quality players at this level, who don't need big, full time wages. Ain't going to happen of course. However, the national leagues are going to endure two or three seasons of considerable change and to survive, unless they have a sugar daddy or three, prudence and pragmatism could be the key. Having said all that, would be great to have Manny Parry back here. Him and big George would be a formidible central defence!

He who gifted the Fleet 2 penalties in the playoff final - hope he's matured since!
