I would hate to see us overspend on the Player Budget. If we get through this season unscathed, we will hopefully have little trouble competing with the above average resources we get from the attendances and pitch. Infrastructure spending when possible is the best way to take the club forward - not player budgets. I have just liked 61666's original post AND your reply! Confused - but happy!

Make the player budget good enough to be mid table and then make the ground quality.

(when did we ever fill London Road?!) FA Cup replay against Charlton, I couldn't see a thing! OK - once! My first game was the 1st Gills replay, which was a pretty good gate (7,000?) and there was still plenty of room. There was also plenty of dog shit up the away end! (I was the 'guest' of a Gills supporter). Strange to think my first Stones game was as an 'away' supporter and in front of the biggest crowd I've ever seen at home!

Stewards are splitting those exiting into two directions to avoid congestion on the steep exit steps. This means if we were to give the Town End to bigger clubs, we would probably have to install gates and hold their fans back a few minutes. If we wanted to allow the likes of Barrow to share the Elvis End, maybe tape off the bottom corner for visiting fans only, which I still think would be a shame. It might be a good idea to have a steward at the top of each flight of stairs if not standing on them is important. The other very noticeable thing was discarded food boxes all over the floor even before kick off. Maybe put black rubbish sacks on the ends of barriers?

not too happy about stewards splitting the exits yesterday without warning anybody (well nothing that I heard) meant family members who came together but stood with friends in different parts of the stand couldn't join up to leave steward not exactly over helpful caused some un-necessary searching for a 14 year at the end. Only located when stadium was nearly empty will make sure it doesn't happen again but hope stewards don't keep changing the rules

Would people stop going on about giving the town and up unless they can give a viable and decent answer to the question about where the pie hut will go

The same place it was yesterday, in the old temporary bar next to the steps.

Absolutely agree with the other poster about the lack of bins in / near the new stand.

Who do we petition to move the segregated area to the Town End?
